AWFUL NEW SMELL

There are plenty of floral smelling soaps out there so not sure why you’d change the original scent to this monstrosity! Have used original Dawn forever. Will be trying another brand next time that doesn’t linger on everything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dawn Original Ruined by new sent

I just bought a new bottle of dawn original and noticed the sent was off. So I looked at the bottle more closely and it says new sent. I will be returning this bottle and trying another brand. I quite buying cascade after it went to its
new fresh sent also. So disappointing when I've used both
for many years. The new fresh sent is over powering and it leaches into the dishes leaving a sent and bad taste even being rinsed thoroughly.

We're sorry you aren't happy with the scent change, and you can be assured we're sharing your feedback with our Research and Development team, Melbell. Please know your safety is our top priority. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart the of the product taste into food. However, it is possible if the soap isn't completely rinsed off or if the dishes have become porous. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. New "clean scent" not great

This new clean scent is terrible. Please just stick with the original scent! The new scent smells like Febreeze and is overpowering and lingers on everything, including my hands.

“New Scent” is awful!

Just picked up a fresh bottle of Dawn at the grocery store and noticed it smelled awful. Then saw the “new clean scent” sticker. It smells awful. Dawn has been my dish soap of choice for years, but now I will have to find something else — likely scented, but with something less awful. Dish soap does not need to be scented! And now I am stuck with a huge bottle of this new formula!

Perfume?

Bought the new scent and ended up pouring it down the disposal! Too much perfume scent! Why fix it if it’s not broken! Please don’t discontinue the original! I even think it gave my Tupperware container a taste of perfume on my leftovers! 🤢😷 very overpowering! Hate it! Please let me know if you plan on discontinuing the original, I would go out and buy a lifetime supply of it to avoid this perfume ridden new kind!

The new scent for Dawn ultra smells awful! I have used Dawn for over 30 years, but not anymore. Terrible marketing move that will drive long loyal customers to other competitors. It’s so bad I had to throw it out and move on to a different brand.

Why on earth would they change the scent and not offer the old! It’s terrible, I’ve only used Dawn most of my life and I am going to forced to switch brands because the scent is terrible and I cannot stand to wash my dishes. People purchased Dawn exclusively because they were happy with the product! Unfortunately it’s obvious lost of loyal customers are going to be lost over this. So sad
