New scent sucks

The new scent is horrible and I’m pretty sure iMm allergic to it. I washed dishes with it, the smell is overbearing and shortly my skin was itchy and inflamed. I will not be buying it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Why take a trusted product and change it? I will never understand. Whoever convinced the Dawn team to switch scents should be fired!

What is that smelll and taste?!The cheap perfume smell is stuck in the brand new water bottle and makes the water taste like perfume. It’s been rinsed and rinsed, and rinsed again. It’s so bad, it can’t be safe. I’m never using it again. Better safe than sorry.

I have exclusively used Dawn dish soap for over 30 years, and loved the new EZ Squeeze bottle. UNTIL... I purchased my most recent bottle. I did not notice the "new clean scent" on the label, but I absolutely noticed it when I opened and used it. The smell is TERRIBLE! I do not want a floral smell when washing my dishes. And as others have commented, the smell lingers. And I do not have porous dishes. Please go back to the old formula. I will not purchase Dawn again until you do so. Very disappointed.

New “clean scent” is too strong. The scent is off or something. Being back the previous scent.

There are plenty of floral smelling soaps out there so not sure why you’d change the original scent to this monstrosity! Have used original Dawn forever. Will be trying another brand next time that doesn’t linger on everything.

I just bought a new bottle of dawn original and noticed the sent was off. So I looked at the bottle more closely and it says new sent. I will be returning this bottle and trying another brand. I quite buying cascade after it went to its new fresh sent also. So disappointing when I've used both for many years. The new fresh sent is over powering and it leaches into the dishes leaving a sent and bad taste even being rinsed thoroughly.

We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart the of the product taste into food. However, it is possible if the soap isn't completely rinsed off or if the dishes have become porous. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors.
