New scent stinks

The new scent is awful. It’s cloying and reminds me of an over-powering air freshener. We’re done with Dawn.

If I could give this new scent (falsely labeled as original scent) no stars at all, I would. This smell triggers my migraines. I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years, and will now need to switch to another dish soap! Why would you change it??? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

We understand there have been recent changes in the scent of Dawn Ultra Original. We would like to assure you that we are aware of this transition and the potential impact it may have on your experience with our product, especially since this was the first scent change in over 10 years. Our Safety Team assures us that, when used as directed, your experience should be great. However, some have personal sensitivities can occur. After reading your review, we suggest you put your most recent bottle of Dawn in a safe spot where you, or others, won't use or lose it, just in case we need you to return it to us. The new clean scent is terrible, and causing headaches. We have used Dawn for decades and loved them. Unfortunately after reaching out, they do not plan to bring the original Dawn soap back so we will have to use another brand from now on.

Safety is our top priority, Tara, and all bottles of Dawn Ultra with the recently updated Original Scent are thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. If you’re not able to use this dish soap, it may help to know that we’ve recently introduced an unscented version of Dawn that may become your new favorite. We’d be happy to help you give that a go, but first, based on what you've shared, we do recommend discontinuing use of your current bottle. Put it in a safe spot, in case we need you to return it to us. Then, give us a call for further assistance. We’re here any Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST. The new scent is disgusting. I refuse to use it. Whoever determined that is a clean scent has no sense of smell. The labeling is deceptive. Large font says Original and in small font it says New Clean Scent. Cheap, cheap, cheap.

I absolutely love the new EZ squeeze bottle. I love that the opening is on the bottom, so you can get every bit out of it (no more adding water to the small amount at the bottom just to get it all out.) I love that it doesn't make a mess and drip onto your surface. Dawn is just a great product. We even use it at my medical office to clean our CPAP supplies, and we always suggest to our patients that they use it too.
The new scent is HORRIBLE. It's nauseating. Life perfumed bodywash. I went back to the store to get the original scent and there were none. So, bought Palmolive. Please go back. Or at least offer both. I want use dawn after again otherwise. It's so bad.

The new scent is absolutely atrocious! Why on earth it was ever changed is beyond me. After we go through our last bottle of the original scent, no more Dawn here for us. Really upset about this, as nothing cleans like Dawn!
