Not the product it used to be

They changed the smell of the dish soap. It sticks to dishes and food. I wouldn’t trust it to wash a duck anymore. I grew up using this product all the time, but we won’t be buying this anymore. The smell is just disgusting now that it’s been sticking to everything we clean.

Your newest bottle of Dawn Ultra with Original Scent should clean your dishes well and leave them with nothing but shine. We're sorry you've been struggling with the scent update, and want to assure you that, when thoroughly rinsed, all Dawn dish soaps rinse cleanly away. If your dishes are holding onto the scent, it's possible they need more rinsing. It should also be noted that plastic-wear grows porous with age, and can absorb scent more easily with wear. If this is the case, don't soak the dishes, but wash and rinse them quickly. We'd be happy to talk further with you about this, and help you find a new Dawn favorite to try, such as a version from our Free & Clear line. Currently, we have two varieties available. New scent is terrible and clings to everything. I have to work twice as hard to get the smell out. It sticks to my pans and my air fryer and literally makes my food smell and taste like soap if I don’t work hard to scrub out the smell. Never had to do this with the original scent. Switching brands is the only option

I always used to buy dawn it was my go to everyday soap and now with this new awful smell i can no longer tolerate it. I bought one bottle to check it out and the smell was so strong it gave me a headache and stuck on the dishes. Bring back the original scent get rid of the “clean” scent

The "new clean scent" is horrendous!!! This scent smells disgusting, like rotten flowers, and is dangerous for asthmatics with fragrance allergies. It certainly can't be used on dishes, the smell is problematic! There was nothing wrong with the original scent. Trusted this brand for 35+ years, swore by it and recommended to everyone from everything to dishes to laundry to cleaning, but not anymore. Do better, Dawn!

The new smell is awful. I’m so disappointed because I love the product but I won’t be able to use it. Smells so artificial. I doubt it’s a product that will be able to be used to help wildlife in oil spills anymore.

New scent gave me an instant migraine. I can't use it now. It is disgusting. I used dawn because of the original scent. You ruined it.
