Hate the new scent

I hate the new scent. Smells like old guys aftershave and it lingers. Yeck!!!

I’ve been using this product for years and the most recent unit I purchased smelled horrendous. I have to switch brands because I hate the smell; the old version was fine, and it’s what my grandmother used and what I’ve been using for most of my life. Terrible!

I hate the new clean scent please bring back the original scent I grew up with and have continued to ise for 45 years!

I used to joke that if I were ever stuck in an island but could bring one thing it would be Dawn blue original dish sop - truly. Now the smell is so awful and over powering even my kids asked what smelled so bad when they walked by the sink. It also leaves my hands feeling dry and itchy, which never happened with the previous formula. I have used the free and clear but I don’t feel that is cleans as well as the blue original formula. Please change this back!

The new scent is awful! Why replace the original scent? It smells like every other febreeze/crazy scented dish soap out there and it sticks and stinks. I will be throwing away the bottle I have and will be on the hunt for a new dish soap to use.

No way you changed the scent and can not think that there is a reason it was the best selling soap! Please change it back it worked better and you don’t understand that people use it because they have sensitivities and also did you not think that the original scent has been a staple in homes , it smelled like my passed grandmother my home growing up with I was little I used it in everything it’s all I have as well for certain memories! Please listen to your customers it’s awful no one likes it!!!!!!

The new scent is so disappointing. Not only is the smell unpleasant, it lingers on my dishes and affects the taste of my food. I had to soak my dishes in baking soda to get the scent out. Please change it back if you can!

Our products are tested to be safe when used as directed, and your safety is our highest priority. We can understand your disappointment at having this experience, and wouldn't expect Dawn to impart a taste into food. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, this is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and items made of cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. For best results, we recommend that you don't soak porous items, but wash immediately and rinse thoroughly. At Dawn, we offer a variety of dish soap options, and hope you'll consider trying another version such as our Dawn Free & Clear EZ-Squeeze Fragrance-Free. Just bought a new bottle…I really dislike the new scent! It is not new and improved.
