Don't buy, new scent is headache inducing perfume.

The new clean scent is very gross. It smells like perfume. It is somehow sticking to all of my dishwear. At first I thought only porous dishes, but nope. All of them that I washed. I now have zero useable soap and dirty dishes, no way to clean them. The heavy scent is triggering a headache. I have been a diehard Dawn fan (I always even wanted the original scent as a candle, haha) and now I won't ever buy again. It really sucks to have an old classic taken away. I hope I can return this bottle because I can't use it without a migraine.

New Scent is Nauseating

New scent is nauseating. PLEASE go back to the regular scent. I am a 3rd generation Dawn dish soap user and have ALWAYS used it. We had to throw away the full ‘new scent’ bottle. I’m having to switch to another dish soap unless y’all go back to the original scent. Please go back 🙏

As the first scent change in over 10 years, we understand the transition to this new Original Dawn Ultra scent may be disappointing or inconvenient. We're so sorry to confirm that there's no plans to return to the previous scent, but happy to help you find a new Dawn favorite, such as the Dawn Free & Clear "Fragrance Free" or Dawn Free & Clear "Lemon Essence". Keep an eye out for either of these clear dish soaps next time you're at your favorite store. Because of what you've mentioned in your review, we do ask you to stop using your current bottle of Dawn. Easier to Use without being wasteful

My sons are the who primarily dishes. Before EZ squeeze, there was waste and I find myself going to the store weekly to replenish dishwashing liquid. My eldest discovered this particular one first on a errand run and he said he preferred this because the solution is easier to control and because the bottle design is inverted, you can use every last drop of the solution without being wasteful. I guess my parenting is a direct reflection of such lol.

The new scent is obnoxious. Like, seriously obnoxious. Fire the Executive who green lighted this garbage, and bring back the original Dawn. 7th Generation, here I come.

Horrible scent! It ruined my pan!

I bought the Dawn with the new scent after using Dawn for as long as I can remember. After two days of use I returned it to the store. The scent is absolutely horrible and ruined a very expensive pan. I only use a drop or two to protect nonstick surface and rinsed very well. Now I can’t get the scent out of the pan! This has been a very frustrating experience and I had to spend my money to buy a new pan! Also, the scent isn’t one that should be around something you serve food in! It smells like bathroom cleaner.

disgusting smell lingers on dishes after 3 rinses

so basically you know everyone hates the scent change but you don't care. lol. this is crazy. I washed all my glasses in regular ol blue dawn and after rinsing I noticed the smell lingering. I rinsed with hot water then with cold water . the smell lingered on ceramic mugs , especially after putting a hot beverage in the mug. never ever ever had this problem before. I have misophonia and bad smells make me super angry . cant stand it. wont ever use this again . Palmolive will now be tried or ajax or literally anything else. see how that goes. ugh
