Why change a good thing

New scent is horrible. I dont want my dishes or hands smelling like bug spray. Been using dawn for 40 years and will be switching to something else.

The new scent is horrible. I've used Dawn for 20 years or more, will NOT buy again. The new scent is so overpowering it gives me a headache, and makes my dishes smell.

Please be assured that we thoroughly test all of our ingredients for safety before we use them in a product. What you've described isn't something we would expect. Safety is our top priority and based on what you shared we do recommend discontinuing use of this Dawn. You mentioned your dishes smelling. You can remove the fragrance by soaking the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it. If you have a dishwasher, and your dishes are dishwasher safe, run them through the machine with some vinegar poured into the bottom of the dishwasher. Also, add some vinegar directly into the dispenser. You can also put a cup of vinegar upright on the top rack of the dishwasher so that it gets knocked over and distributed during the wash. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. We hope you'll give our Dawn E-Z Squeeze Free & Clear Fragrance-Free a try, as it has all of the cleaning power of Dawn with no added scent. I used to go through a lot of dawn since I use it to clean my bathroom and kitchen. I would actually look forward to scrubbing my shower or doing dishes because of how good original dawn smelled and it literally gave me so much joy, but now, this “ New Clean Scent” makes me sick. It smells like cheap overpowering perfume and I noticed it smells like the wannabe store brands versions of dawn. I’m not sure whose idea it was to change the perfectly beautiful scent of the classic dawn, the dish soap that millions of people swear by and are willing spend a little more for, but they should be fired to be brutally honest. Why would you make a mild scent into a disgustingly potent scent that is headache inducing? Beats me. Please listen to your customers and change it back, because if the company is trying to cut costs by using this formula, you may be cutting out most of your loyal customers instead.

New scent sucks. Headache, watery eyes, sore throat. Removed from kitchen. Was going to use it up to wash truck but thought it might take paint off.

The new scent gives me a headache, it's terrible! There was nothing wrong with the old scent. I'm taking this bottle back for a refund.

The new scent is assaulting and gives me a headache. When you have a time tested product don’t mess with it!! You are not going to get new customers because you have a new scent. You will lose loyal customers because you chose to assault one’s senses.

The new scent is absolutely horrible, I have a brain tumor and can’t be around strong smells and I have always used the blue dawn and it never bothered me but this new scent leaves me with major headaches and my whole family says what stinks when the dishes are being done now. I will definitely be looking for a new soap ASAP If you wanted to add a fragrance you should have made it an option and not changed the formula for the worse. Also I never ever leave reviews but this time it warrants one
