Why did you ruin something that was loved as it was?! This scent is extremely heavy and irritates my eyes.....pretty much absolutely contrary to the point of original dawn 😑

New scent horrible

I can't stand the new scent, makes me nauseous. I've used Dawn exclusively for years and now I'll need to switch brands because I can't stand the new smell. I don't usually leave reviews but I'm desperate. Please bring back original scent as an option!

Because we just updated the scent of Dawn Ultra Original, which was the first one in over 10 years, we understand you may have some frustration with this purchase. We do apologize for that, and also want to assure you that, when used as directed, our Safety Team shares that you'll feel comfortable while using the dish soap. We're so sorry to learn you may have a specific sensitivity to this change, and we agree that moving on from Dawn Ultra Original may be your best choice. Sadly, we do not have plans, at this time, to return to the previous scent. We hope you'll consider Dawn Free & Clear, our dish soap with all the cleaning benefits of Dawn, but available with both a light scent, or no scent. Choose the Fragrance Free option, and you'll not have to worry about any added smell. We want to help you, and hope you'll call us with an update on how you're feeling. New clean scent is absolutely awful

Didn’t look close enough when purchasing the bottle. The new clean scent is absolutely awful. Has triggered some sort of allergy, I started sneezing when I smelled it. What a bummer. Always enjoyed the original scent of Dawn. As Dawn will point out, they have other scents. That’s fine, the Apple one is not that bad. It’s just a shame that the original formula couldn’t stay! Marketing dropped the ball on this one for sure or maybe not, as I reached for the blue bottle expecting the original, but didn’t see that fine print on the top that says new clean scent. WILL NOT BUY THIS SENT EVER AGAIN!

I only use dawn. The "new scent" is disgusting and stays on my hands. Will not use again.

Very good at cleaning pots and pans.

It’s very effective for cleaning hard-stained, greasy dishes, pots and pans. It is affordable. The scent is not overwhelming. The ez squeeze mechanism of the package makes it less messy and it doesn’t spill when placed upside down.

New scent

I am only rating one star because of the new scent. If it was the original scent I would give 5 stars. WHY???? The smell is like a strong perfume or laundry detergent. It completely goes against the brand I knew my whole life. I think of the commercials showing the soap being safe even on animals and now I have to question if that is even true. My son has sensitive skin and I am hesitant letting him use this new scent soap. The original scent was synonymous with the brand. Now there is this smelly, lingering after-scent. I’m seriously going to have to reassess using Dawn, which is sad.

New scent is too sweet and overpowering. Avoid!!!

New fresh scent is so flowery and overpowering that it takes your breath away. No way would you want this on dishes. The smell is more like super sweet shampoo. If original scent is discontinued lots of people will be changing brands. Threw mine away. To manufacturers- throw away new scent and keep original scent.
