New Scent HORRIBLE!

Been using Dawn for years, not anymore. The new scent is AWFUL! It was perfect before. So overpowering and nauseating.

I bet the ducks hate this new scent…

I thought I bought the wrong soap…. The new scent is horrible. It’s not fresh. If you want to keep the new scent, that’s fine. But please at least let us have the option to buy the old one as well. I don’t want “unscented” - I want my normal Dawn soap. Otherwise I will have to switch.

You must be an animal lover, just like we are, and we want to assure you that we're very proud of the work we've done with our organization partners, helping wildlife be saved from oil pollution. We've donated thousands of bottles of Dawn, cleansing and helping more than 75,000 animals over the last 40 years. The techs who work with the groups use Dawn to gently remove the contaminants from the animals. All of them are highly trained to use the soap safely, significantly increasing the survival rate of these innocent victims. We plan on continuing this work, although we're sorry to hear you're not a fan of the new scent, and we'll forward your message to our Research and Development team. disgusting smell lingers on dishes after 3 rinses

so basically you know everyone hates the scent change but you don't care. lol. this is crazy. I washed all my glasses in regular ol blue dawn and after rinsing I noticed the smell lingering. I rinsed with hot water then with cold water . the smell lingered on ceramic mugs , especially after putting a hot beverage in the mug. never ever ever had this problem before. I have misophonia and bad smells make me super angry . cant stand it. wont ever use this again . Palmolive will now be tried or ajax or literally anything else. see how that goes. ugh

Please know, our greatest joy is your happiness, and we're very sorry you're so angry. It's possible your ceramic may have grown porous over time, and may need a new method of cleaning. Be sure not to soak them in soapy water, but wash and rinse them immediately. Something else that may help to know we've recently begun selling a "Fragrance Free" Dawn Free & Clear. You ruined a wonderful product beloved by millions

Why "fix" something that wasn't broken? The NEW CLEAN SCENT is truly awful! Please change it back. If you had made the soap less smelly, that would have been welcome, but it was fine as it was. The new scent, however, is a horrible mistake. Dreadful, yucky, ick, no thank you!

Terrible “New Clean Scent”

I have always purchased the original dawn not only because it was effective but also because it was the only scent I could tolerate. The “New Clean Scent” is terrible. It leaves a scent on my dishes and gives me a headache. Please bring back the original scent!

Disappointed in New Clean Scent

I’m a life-long fan of Dawn and have both used and recommended it specifically in my line of work with interior design and natural stone. I can’t handle too perfumey of things and the Original Scent was the ONLY soap I could use. The New Clean Scent is way too perfumy, strong, and dare I say… offensive. I clean my infants silicone pacifiers and bottles with the soap and she won’t even take them, came to find out the soap makes them taste like it, and it’s god aweful. There was NOTHING wrong with the original scent. Please, I beg you, keep the old (even if you introduce this new one) but don’t change what was PERFECT. I would love to continue being a loyal customer but this is a deal breaker for me. With great respect.

NOT original scent

This was the only scent available at my grocery this week. Headache and allergic reaction to the smell within mintues.
hmm...I've used Dawn most of my life. May now need to switch!

Terrible new clean scent

Why was the original scent changed to a new scent?l. It is an overpowering flower smell that is horrible. It does not smell clean at all. I’ve used Dawn original for as long as I can remember and now I will have to switch to another brand. Very disappointed.
