New smell causes migraines

I’ve been a lifelong Dawn user but the smell of this new scent smells like disgustingly migraine inducing cat litter chemicals. Please please please change it back. I cannot use this soap anymore.

The fragrance change of Dawn Ultra Original was implemented after receiving positive feedback during extensive testing with consumers. This is the first scent change for Dawn Original in over 10 years, and we’re sorry for your disappointment. Because your safety is our priority, we ask you to stop using this new version of Dawn. Please, stop using this bottle.

Consumer feedback is vital in helping us improve our products, as at this time, we do not have plans to reintroduce the old Dawn scent in the United States. New Dawn scent

Terrible new scent

1 star because in order to comment I have to pick a star. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE NEW SCENT. In a market where you have other choices available, you took a big chance. The market who does not know the original scent, doesn’t do dishes yet. This loyal client is buying Palmolive.

The new scent is just awful. Literally migraine inducing. What moronic MBA at this company convinced the product folks that changing the SCENT of best selling ORIGINAL SCENT dawn was a good move?

Horrible and disgusting new scent

Popped open the new bottle and instant migraine. I almost puked, the new scent is so bad. Who in their right mind wants this all over stuff they eat off of? I was a long time customer, and will now be changing brands. I also find it really interesting that the only good reviews are paid reviews and the rest are from actual customers. Seriously, such a bad series business moves.

Clean Scent Unfortunately, lingers on your dishes

The product works great for reducing grease off my dishes. However, the new clean sent is not pleasant and the smell lingers on my clean dishes, no matter how much I rinse them. It also stays on my sponges and washrags. It is not that pleasant of a A smell and the fact that it lingers on my dishes is disturbing

Bring back old scent!!!

I bought a new bottle of dawn and didn’t realize until I started used it the first time that the “original” scent was changed. The “new clean scent” is overpowering and not pleasant.
PLEASE bring back the actual original scent!!!

Awful perfume smell

If I could give it zero stars I would. The new scent is awful and it doesn’t wash off. It gives me a headache. Please bring back the old formula!

As well, we have many quality checks in place to ensure that you can use Dawn with ease. For a lighter scent, we suggest giving our Dawn Free & Clear a try. If you'd prefer an unscented option, we do offer our Dawn Free & Clear Fragrance-Free. As well, to help remove the scent from your dishes, try soaking them in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it.
