I Don't Get It

Having a robust sense of smell, I tend toward lower scented products. In the past, I've appreciated Dawn Original's strong grease-cutting power, light scent, and inexpensive cost. Multiple generations of my family have used the product religiously for decades.
I'm discouraged they've changed the original to jump on the bandwagon of strongly perfumed products. I don't see why it's needed, since they could offer scented alternatives to appeal to that market.
As a loyal customer, I'm disappointed that Dawn's response to complaints has been to accuse customers of having a 'unique sensitivity' when describing feeling nauseous. I also felt nauseated by the smell and was grossed out when I realized it was coming from my dish soap.
While I understand change can be hard to accept, I don't see their EZ Squeeze Free and Clear fragrance-free version a comparable replacement, as has been offered by Dawn. The product costs more because of the more expensive bottle type. And because it's a 'specialty' version, it's less widely available.
I just want a simple, inexpensive, yet effective product to clean my dishes. And that's why I've been passionate about Dawn Original in the past. I will try Free and Clear, but please recognize that your product no longer offers the ease and sensibility that it used to.

Awful smell

The original dawn was so good, but the new scent in this product is awful! It smells like they dumped a bottle of gas station perfume into this. Way too strong, lingers on your hands and dishes after rinsing. Will be finding a different soap. Please bring the original scent back

This crap is garbage. Dawn used to be the best there is. Now it’s weak. Like every other company, they’ve cut costs on their products will still upcharging consumers. Literally their products make absolutely zero suds nowadays. Disappointing.

AWFUL DESIGN - - Leaks All Over my Counter

AWFUL Design - - Leaks all over my Counter. I opened just as the label says, but this product has never been leak proof. As the volume of product lessens in the bottle, it seems to leak more. Very disappointing in this product. Love Dawn, just not this design. You are better off buying the “regular” squeeze bottle.

Thank you for sharing your experience with our EZ-Squeeze style bottle of Dawn. This innovative design helps one-handed soap dispensing be easier and neater. You'll find the bottle best works when you keep it stored "on it's head". Don't keep it on its bottom, like traditional bottles. Flipping the bottle will build up pressure, and lead to leaks. Turn the nozzle of the bottle upward, and remove it. Put it back on, then turn the bottle over, giving it a big squeeze into the sink or onto a sponge for about 2 seconds. Keep the bottle stored cap-side down, and your bottle should be fine. Please know, we're here weekdays, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST to give you more help. Great product, however…..

I always bought the pink colored Dawn because it is good for my hands and was a great dishwashing liquid. However, when I went to the grocery store to buy more, all that was on the shelf was the new bottle, EZ-squeeze so I bought it. The bottle is a great idea, however, the bottle is very, very hard to squeeze, nothing EZ about it. Did anyone ever consider people with Arthritis and how hard it is for them to use their hands sometimes? Sorry but I have to change dishwashing liquid.

Easy pour

When I saw “easy pour” thought awesome. I have arthritis in my hands and can’t squeeze the bottle. Very disappointed. I do love dawn but this new bottle is going in the trash.

Please know, our Design Team designed our EZ-Squeeze bottle to help those with compromised hand strength, such as yourself. We only expect you to be smiling after using your bottle of Dawn Ultra in the EZ-Squeeze Bottle, with Original Scent, because your hands should be feeling free and fine after using it. It may help to turn the bottle upright, unscrew the top, then put it back on, turn it upside down, and give it a good 2 second squeeze. Really need an upside down bottle?!

Not really satisfied with this new product. I was fine with the regular bottle. This gets clogged just like the regular bottle.
