The new scent is nauseating!! Not only is the smell awful but it lingers on the dishes. It makes my dishes smell like I washed them in cheap body wash. Why take something as beloved and classic as dawn dish soap and turn it into something completely unusable?? I will no longer be purchasing Dawn products and this feels like a huge loss.

This is the first scent change for Dawn Original in over 10 years, but please be assured that we value your feedback greatly and are sharing it with the rest of our Dawn Team. Consumer feedback is vital in helping us improve our products and ensuring that we deliver the best possible experience to our consumers; it’s also instrumental in guiding the Dawn Team as they continue to work on future innovations. In regard to the scent lingering on your dishes, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. We hope this was helpful, but we'd like to learn more about your experience, try to make things right, and tell you more about our Dawn Free & Clear version that offers our lightest scent. What happened to the suds?

I remember when original Dawn dish soap first came on the market. It truly did create more Suds than any other soap. But not anymore! The suds don't even last through one sink full of dishes.

We appreciate you sharing this with us, and for your loyalty to Dawn. A lack of suds/bubbles does not mean the product is not cleaning your dishes. Even if there are very few suds, the solution will carry on cleaning the dishes. Using a scouring pad or washing a lot of extra greasy dishes can make the suds disappear more rapidly. When you changed the scent of this product, you made it absolutely disgusting and it’s basically unbearable to put on dishes that people are supposed to eat off of.

Awful change. Lost a faithful customer

The new scent is awful. Go back to original. My family is highly allergic to new scent and can’t get the smell out if dishes. So gross!!

New Dawn REEKS!

I have exclusively used Dawn Original for decades because it works so well. Besides the awful smell, the NEW Clean Scent liquid does not work as well. The scent really smells bad. There is no other way to describe the scent. The new clean scent doesn't smell clean. It lingers in the air; it lingers on the dishes; it lingers on the skin. The awful smell lasts far too long, and it aggravates my allergies. Your website shows that the scent was tested, but the scent should not have passed. As a former loyal customer of over 30 years, I will now purchase a different brand of dish soap. Please fix this!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The new Dawn scent stinks

I'm having a terrible allergic reaction to the new Dawn scent. Why did they change the scent? This is just an overpowering scent-it causes my eyes to burn, gives me a headache and cough. Please dump it and bring back the old Dawn. I have to change dish soaps now, after all these years.
