This includes the use of Dawn for emergency first-aid intervention by trained professionals in accidental exposures of animals – including accidental oil contamination of marine wildlife. Dawn is a very effective agent for the removal of oil contamination from fur/feathers, and this emergency intervention by trained personnel is a well-recognized and beneficial medical intervention. As well, it's safe to wash bird items like water bowls and cages with Dawn, so long as you rinse with plenty of water afterwards and dry the items thoroughly. We hope this information is helpful.
