What did you do?

I’ve been loyal to Dawn dish soap for years. It’s gentle, yet always works well, cutting through grease and grime, with a subtle scent…until I opened my new bottle. What did you do to the original scent? This new “clean smell” is overpowering and smells like laundry detergent. I don’t want my dishes to smell like my laundry. What’s more, how is a strong, perfume-y smell any good for the environment? Wait, it’s not. Why do you companies always have to ruin a good thing? Whoever your new guy is that wanted to make their mark in the company and went ahead with this horrible decision needs to be knocked down a peg. This was not a needed change and I suspect many others will agree. For the first time in years, I’ll be switching to a new dish soap. You lost me as a customer.

Don’t Purchase the New Fresh Scent Dawn!!!!!

Disgusting overpowering floral scent. Smells like cheap artificial floral air freshener. Really awful. I hate washing the dishes with it!!!! I used to love the original ! I will not purchase the new scent product in the future. I don’t know why you messed with a good product! I’m sure this can not be used on ducklings like the old product ad. Too many artificial smells. It is nauseating to me. I called the company today and also wanted to warn the public . Don’t buy the new fresh scent Dawn. Product. Also does not seem the same consistency. More watery feel to it.

New formula is terrible!

I recently bought another bottle and the new smell is terrible!! You also have to use way more product now. When something has worked for as long as this product has, leave it alone, please! It needs to go back to the original formula and scent.

Disgusting New Scent

I thought I bought the wrong one, but realized the scent was changed. Terrible, nauseating. Must be the same “focus group” of “researchers” that changed the original scent of TIDE. Already stopped buying. I won’t waste my money.

Update scent is universally disliked.

New scent in 2024 ruined the experience. My whole family used dawn original almost exclusively. From just dish soap to cleaning recipies. I bought a bulk size bottle without realizing it had been changed from the beloved classic. I already refilled my in sink dispenser so I can't return it. I won't even buy this product to donate anymore. I can't believe I had to search the internet for what ruined to a lifelong product. When I reached out to some family members telling everyone to hoard the old formula when they find it they were in disbelief that a legacy product had been ruined.

"Clean Scent" LOL

This new 'clean scent' smells like third-rate, knock-off, dollar store laundry detergent and the smell does not come off easily. All my kitchen utensils smell like they have been washed with perfume and it does not add flavor to my meals. Learn from Coca-Cola's mistake: Don't mess with the formula.
