As a parent whose child grew up with the movies and the books and a fan of them as well, it was a lot of fun putting this together. love all the details that go with this set and it is great for all ages

Harry Potter fun with loads of characters!

One of the best features of this set is how MANY characters are included! Also the detailing inside is delightfully authentic to the movies and very cheery. The castle is just challenging enough to build for young and old, very engaging and lots of fun. Plenty of imagination playtime for parents or grandparents with their little ones, or for us big kids too; a perfect Harry Potter “keeper!”

Great Set, Build, and Play

Hello. I loved this set! From the minifigures to the house banners it was great. One thing I didn't like was that I got a minifigure for Susan Bones instead of Ginny Weasley. However, they look very similar so I just pretended that Susan was Ginny. Some people have said in their reviews that the phoenix was hard to see because of the mirror of Erised, but you can easily remove the mirror. Another thing I liked was that the house banners that hung could be flipped around, meaning one side was Ravenclaw whille the other side was Slytherin, and one side was Gryffindor while the other side was Hufflepuff. The minifigures looked very nice and basilisk also looked great. I also liked how Scabbers came with the set. This was a fun build and playing was also a hoot. Great job, Lego.

Iconic building

Overall, this set was a great addition to my Harry Potter collection. In my opinion, it is one of the most iconic buildings in the Wizarding World. The only thing that I don’t like about this is the tower, I feel like there should’ve been more details.

Fun!

I loved this build! It wasn't too challenging, but it was difficult at the same time. I ended up renovating the two rooms near the staircase, because I have a different set and I ended up having 2 different potions rooms and I didn't really like the other room. I made Dumbledore's office and a tiny herbology room. I renovated the towertop as well and made it a mini astronomy tower.

Glaring mistakes.

I’m surprised I can’t find this talked about elsewhere. I have about 10 Harry Potter sets and like to build them in the order that they appear in the books. This one is troubling. They have the mirror of erised and Quirrel in this set so obviously it would be from the first book. But then they throw in Susan bones, Fawks, and the basilisk, which is in the chamber of secrets. I don’t know what’s going on with this one. There are a more sets also that are a hybrid. It wouldn’t hurt to read the books before you manufacture hundreds of thousands of sets.
