Bad lighting

I bought this for myself because I love the lego harry potter line. Usually I love big building sets. But this one doesn't give you any light to see. No joke had to bring up x-mas lights and tie them to the top.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So disappointed that they made the characters look 6 years old and they don’t sit. The castle is awesome but they definitely need to send repairs for the main characters with legs that actually bend and faces that look 15 and not 6.

Unfortunately, this set did not live up to my expectations. The exterior looks clunky and the interior is sparsely decorated and uninteresting. I am a big fan of Lego HP, but as far as the new 2018-2020 waves go, this is not one of the best. I simply do not
understand the choice to put generic storage rooms/classrooms in the main tower. The tables in the main room are cramped and there is little access to light in the hall. The mini figures are excellent of course, and I commend lego for including so many in this set, but the build just left me depressed.

Must have for Harry Potter fan

There's so much detail in this castle. From the house banners, the set up in the hall and the tower. I missed the original castle several years ago, and jumped on this buy. I build lego with my son and we are both happy to have added this to our collection.

Ever since I was very young, the Harry Potter theme has been my favorite and I've tried to collect every set. This set fits in very well with the older sets in terms of color scheme and overall feel. Like the first Hogwarts Castle set from 2001, the Great Hall takes center stage, it's just much more detailed this time. If you're a fan of the movies, you'll recognize many details recreated here, such as the wooden bay windows (for lack of a better word) behind the professors' table. Furthermore, there are several little rooms filled with Harry Potter nostalgia, such as the Sorting Hat and the Mirror of Erised. These cute little rooms filled with magical objects fits in with a proud Lego Harry Potter tradition. In short, buy this set, whether you're a Lego Harry Potter lifer or a First Year, just been sorted.

I really like harry potter so I thought it was nice when my dad got it for me for my birthday. I really enjoyed building and moving the offers around.Also I recommend buying it for family or friends.
