Stunning set! Get one now!!

I've seen a lot of reviews of this set mention that the build is repetitive. To a certain extent that is true, however the results are well worth the - frankly minor - tedium. The fine details of every small section of this set make it a true work of art. And once it's complete it's a display piece like no lego set I've ever seen (and I have many, MANY sets displayed). This set is truly on a completely new level when it comes to Lego set construction and the size of the result. Buy one, build it, and then marvel in wonder at its unparalleled size and intricacy.

This lego sets need a lot of patience, concentration and experience. I think the hardest thing of it is the repetition and the lower part of the tower is relatively loose so it's easy to drop (recommend don't touch it if it's not necessary). However it's really a great experience to build the tallest one of Lego and it completely looks the same as the real Eiffel tower. I was satisfied when I saw the final result when I finished it. One of the best architecture collections in my room!!!

A surprise from my husband, a Lego Newbie

After building the space shuttle and Hubble set, which I loved, my non-Lego-building husband surprised me with the idea of giving each other this monster of a set for Christmas. We both loved our visit to Paris years ago, and I knew we would have a place for this piece in our home, so I somewhat reluctantly agreed. I'm happy to report that the "alternate who builds each step" method worked well, greatly reducing the frustration of so much repetition, and despite a few mis-steps, both of us survived with our marriage intact, Fingers crossed that this means more Lego in our future! P.S. -- do yourself a favor and get a light kit for this one.... it makes a huge difference, and makes it the focal point of any space you put it in.

Intense build, but impressive final product

It took me 6 days to build, but it's quite an impressive piece once done. I agree with a few of the other reviews that mention the arches in the base of the tower being a bit too delicate with their attachment points. If you can accept the piece count and understand it will take a long time to build, you will enjoy the build.

Biggest Lego Set! Just Wow!

First off, this Lego set is extremely large! Which is awesome! I really enjoyed the build and is a very accurate and stable Lego model of the Eiffel Tower! I would 100% recommend this Lego set. The price is also pretty fair in my opinion. I hope everyone else enjoys building this set as much as I did!

Definitely an intense build! But it makes it that much sweeter when you have it completed. The detail is amazing and structurally fantastic. Displays real nicely with my Big Ben and London Bridge Set.

Gravity is not your friend

I was really excited to get this set. I knew it would be repetitive which doesn't bother me. The set however has some basic flaws that made it a very frustrating build, and the first build that I ever contemplated using super glue to complete. The construction of the arches on the base are just downright poor. There are too many elements that hang from connections above with too few studs to hold them in place. I found myself constantly repairing the arches which simply would not consistently hold together. Once built it looks great just don't touch it too much or you'll be in for serious rebuild. A model this size really needs to be a lot less fragile.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
