This set did get to me mentally sometimes due to the repetitiveness but overall it's an excellent set and a great display piece! It also makes a good Christmas tree:)

ICONic build!

I’m a Francophile and totally enjoying my (lit!) ET while watching the Olympics!! It’s an amazing showstopper (I do recommend a light kit!) if you can find a corner to put it in. Build is repetitive but worth it.

This is one of, if not the most spectacular looking lego builds I’ve ever done. The attention to detail, scaling and miniaturization of its real life counterpart is readily apparent when the final structure is finished. First, I would like to say how much I personally appreciate how this set is in line size wise with the Titanic and Statue of Liberty. Putting them all three together, one can truly appreciate how they relate to one another in the real world.
Yes, it is true that this build is repetitive. I think this horse has been beat to death on YouTube reviews and on other reviews on here. I believe that this repetitiveness represents the repetitive nature of this and many other architectural landmarks across the globe. It comes with the territory. If one wants to build this for the experience, you may find other sets you will enjoy building more. But I will wager that when they are finished, they will not be as nearly polished, pristine and elegant looking as this model.
In short, you have to ask yourself, why are you building Lego? If you’re building this for the looks, and the finished product (which is stunning) go for it. Put on some music and enjoy your building experience. If you’re looking for a non-repetitive building experience and are less worried about the finished product, you may find this build daunting. Personally, I believe sometimes you can’t have one without the other. Lego took a risk here and it payed off with its target audience.

AWESOME SET (very repetitive)

LOVE this set so much, as expected it was very very repetitive. Lego took this thing all the way and it shows. Very cool building techniques, when you buy this expect to do things over and over and over again but in the end the final product is absolutely stunning. A must have for any true Lego collector. (Makes a good Christmas tree lol)

Pleasantly surprised

I'm sure you're asking is it repetitive? And the answer is yes BUT it's not as irritating as you think it will be. I built this set over a period of 3 days and I honestly didn't find the repetition bothersome at all. And as someone who built the colosseum and found the holding process to be extremely dull I was pleasantly surprised by this set. It's not nearly as bad some reviewers on YouTube has suggested. BUT this is my personal experience and everyone is different. However even if you do find it extremely dull to buil you are left with one of if not THEost beautiful set in Lego history. Plus the size of it makes it an excellent conversation piece. Overall I am extremely happy with this set.
