Great Set

I can say without doubt the final set looks amazing. This is not a complaint as it is very obvious by looking at the set it is a very repetitive build and it lives up to that hype. Even though it is repetitive the sections build fairly fast. The set does have a lot of bags but the honestly the way the parts are separated into the bags , each bag is really focused on a particular build and there is not a lot of hunting for parts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Intense build, impressive result!

Granted, given the nature of the structure there is plenty of repetition, but I did find the entire process meditative. I soon adapted an assembly line process with some components. There are one or two assemblies that could be stronger but overall it is structurally sound. But wow is huge and impressive! I thought the Titanic was big, but this is spectacular.

Not stable

My major concern is the stability of the lower section. I had the tower collapse twice and won't rebuild again. I don't want to glue the base but that is the only way to keep the tower stable - in my opinion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a phenomenal piece of art. Starting with the one negative that a few people have brought up is repetition. Throughout the build, you build similar aspects due to it being symmetrical. I recommend putting on some music or a movie that has Paris involved in it. I bought this as a Christmas present for myself early on and divided it up to do about 3-4 bags a day leading up to Christmas morning when I finished the last bag and placed it on top. Doing this helped with the repetition, and made me appreciate all the intricate detail. The display piece that you get afterward is mind-blowing. I have gotten compliments from people not know that it is Lego. It also needs to have a lot of space to properly display it, but man is it gorgeous! From all angles that you look at it, your mind is just blown away. If you have the money, this is the set to go with, unless you can't stand repetition. Even if you can't you can divide this amongst friends and end up with an amazing display.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set takes up a lot of space and requires a lot of time to put together. I did not anticipate either and now the unfinished set is in storage. I hope to pull it out and build it one day…but I definitely need the space for it. Do not buy if you have pets or children who run around! This thing is super fragile and will break apart if you aren’t careful around it. It is a beautiful piece and glad that I got it.

I finally caved into buying this after knowing the sheer size of this, but I did not expect how much room it would actually take. The build itself was heavily repetitive and I was looking forward to it. I would highly recommend this set to collectors and those who have the room for it. I would not recommend buying this set if you don't have any space for it or don't like very tedious sets.
