Model with such promise

I believe I have the majority of the speed champions sets. So I when I say this was a disappointing build it is with experience. My main gripe is with the front end. The stud attachments are super loose around the headlights, dont quite meet. So if you breathe on the model there, it falls apart, and rebuilding is problematic
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A different way to build

My fiance bought me two copies of this build. I thought "Why not turn it into a transformer." With some spare parts for the skeletal support structure that bends and twists I was able to make it work! I had to do some reverse engineering on the back half so it would split apart forming legs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but lacking

I think there’s a lot of things Lego did well with this set. The build is engaging and some of the techniques are awesome. But there are just some angles that are straight up ugly. I don’t think it captures the 911 very well and also it seems some parts of the build, although cool, emphasis very small details on the real car that shouldn’t have been prioritized real-estate. The fender vents are much too big and the nice sloping fenders are just not there. At the end of the day it’s a nice build, the rear looks great, but a lot of it is just confusing or ugly. If you want a speed champions 911, I’d wait for a remake or buy the older 911 turbo.

The final build is better than the images portray. I was hesitant but glad I got this one. After so many years of building speed champions they again incorporate new built techniques that made this really enjoyable!

Perfection

In the process of convincing my wife to put it in the China cabinet on display. It’s perfect. There are 3 stickers for the gt3 rs on the side which seemed like a lot to line them up so I decided to leave them off, but I think it looks cleaner.
The wing is huge and moves. The angles. The vents. Splitters.
12/10. They got every detail. So clean I love it
