Unfortunately, the magnet is not strong enough to hold the phone in a charge position while the “otterbox” case (w/Drop+) is on. So U will need to remove the case in order to charge the phone. Definitely an inconvenience.

Iphone doesnt attach to base via the bases magnet. I slides off, had to remove the Iphone case which is a thin clear plastic. It still has to be placed with care for it to not slip down and off. Build quality is great and what I would expect from Otterbox. Temped to return for the cost and try another manufacture to see if there is one with a stronger magnet for the phone.
