I have really been enjoying using the Happy Light. I am putting it on for about an hour a day, and it seems to be making me feel better through the day. I am able to use it while I get ready in the morning, so I don't have to allot any extra time.

I received my Happy Light quickly. It was packaged very well and has instructions on its use. So far, I am very happy with my purchase. I followed the instructions, and I am now using it for 30 min a day. I would highly recommend this Happy light as it really does help me with SAD.

I was looking for quality lighting to help with winter moods, and when I Googled options, I saw Verilux and recalled the reading lights I had over a decade ago from the company. The two Happy lights I got this winter impressed me just as much as the reading lights did so long ago. (I no longer have a use for designated reading lights). The Happy Lights are compact, tailored, and visually appealing. Easy to use in what otherwise be awkward spaces. Great light that helps my mood even if I don't use the lamps regularly. I did discover a neat, simple way to hang or place the rectangular light and/or the round one next to my treadmill, exercise bike, kitchen work space, dining room table, and bed. Thanks for offering such a quality product at a reasonable price.

Hot and Cold...

I still have yet figured out how to turn on the light. I have a HappyLight Model VT42. There is what appears to be an on/off switch on the top but it doesn't turn it on... all the time. Sometimes I can get it to go on with one click but most times (frustrating) it takes several tries. I've tried holding the button for 10 seconds and sometimes it works but most times it doesn't. Turning it off is just as frustrating. I finally unplug it to turn it off. Instructions are terrible... hence, I hope to have someone tell me how to turn it on and off here.
When it's on, it's VERY BRIGHT. I am having trouble adjusting the intensity of the light so I put a piece of white paper over it to dim it. That works well but it seems odd that I'd have to do that for this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
