The happy light has helped me a lot. I would recommend not staring directly at it as it can become too much on the eyes. I also like to use it as a makeup light sometimes.
I bought it for SAD, but it also helped with my circadian rhythms, which were more like those of an owl or a vampire than a 9-to-5 worker. Using this light seemed to make the whole cycle easier: not only did I feel more alert in the mornings, when I used it, but I felt like I was more often ready for bed at a reasonable hour at night.
It’s really powerful and overuse can cause discomfort so make sure you use it in moderation. Such a fantastic product! It’s also very durable. (We’ve already dropped it a few times and it’s totally fine.)
I've had the HappyLight Compact for a year or two now, and when I use it consistently during the winter months, it is extremely helpful in combatting my SAD. I live in the PNW, so we don't get a lot of sun, which is definitely a product I need. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone. I especially like this one because it's affordable and effective.
