I love my Epic 4G, the only thing that upsets me is the Froyo update issue. Originally I could care less but as time has gone on there are things that I am starting to wish my phone did that isn't available with Eclair. I have seen many many sites that say, sure just do this this and this and you have your "un-manufactured" update... as much as I want to I'm not going to do this. I've worked in the warranty center, I'd like not to put them through that lol. but I do love this phone... just PLEASE GIVE ME FROYO lol
I love my Samsung Epic. The display is bright, vibriant & easy to see. Also, the google powered droid apps are very user friendly & easy to navigate. Downloads are even faster when I am in an area with 4G coverage.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, user friendly
Cons: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

i gave up the evo 4g for the epic and i wish i kept my evo 4g instead. i love the screen its very vibrant and bright, the speaker phone is loud and clear, internet is quick, and i love the manual keypad and the swype of the touch screen keypad. this phone cost for than the evo4g, but lacks the adobe flash player
I upgraded last month to the EPIC from Sprint's HTC Touch Pro 2. The EPIC is wide, but extremely light, and amazingly thin given the awesome keyboard, & as a result I always felt I would drop it. Consequently, I switched to the EVO 4G. Another amazing phone, but after having the EPIC, the EVO felt lackluster and boring. The EPIC's display alone was enough to make me cry when I looked at the EVO despite its .3 inches more in screen size. The EPIC is a faster & smoother device to navigate native software & web pages. It seems that Samsung's Hummingbird processor is just more speedy and efficient than Qualcomm's Snapdragon. With the EVO, at times I felt as though I was still using my Touch Pro 2 with the 528mhz processor. The Galaxy S line is also endowed with Bluetooth 3.0 which mates itself with a Wi-Fi connection to enhance data transfer connection speeds. Most phones don't have this capability yet. Many tech review sites misquote the EPIC's bluetooth specs, while Samsung's US site gives no more than generic details. The EVO is easier to hold, and obviously thinner with it's lack of physical keyboard. Still, I missed the EPIC so much that when I went back to Sam's Club in Roseville, MI to purchase accessories for the EVO, I asked about switching back to the EPIC. My salesperson Shannon said I was allowed because I was still within my 30 day guarantee period. Yay!!! for me lol Man, the EPIC is so much better of a phone, and much more of a pleasure to own for me. I spent months reading reviews and Tech specs for these and other devices, and my estimation is that the EPIC is the best smartphone available at this time. Now that I own it again, I don't feel as if I am going to lose it to gravity. Sliding it open to expose the keyboard still takes a little caution due to it's thin form factor, but I can manage that well enough. Thank you Sam's Club for you accommodating policy, and Samsung for fantastic engineering & hardware, & a thanks to Shannon at the mobile phone Kiosk at Sam's Club in Roseville, MI for her professionalism, expertise, and patience.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, very stylish & sexy, user friendly, rich multimedia interface
Cons: software updates
