I was a previous iphone users, and decided to switch to android powered phone, and I was a bit scared at first....BUT I'm amazed at what this Samsung epic 4G can do. I'm really impressed with the overall of this phone, and features. This is a true iphone killer....
I have owned a Moment for quite sometime. I decided that purchase of the Epic made sense above other Samsung phones. However the price of the Epic was quite a bit.
Does EVERYTHING period and its not Apple, big plus for me since I really don't like Apple.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Phone I've Ever Owned

I love my Epic. From call quality to usability and everything in between. Love the Screen and the Sound quality as well.
I have had several small issues related to performance.
First is the battery life. it seems any real "app" usage kills the battery way to fast. I am new to "Android" phones, I have tinkered with the settings and am hoping to find a happy medium for my usage and battery life.
The Second is the sometimes oversensitivity to the touch screen. Seems to have a mind of its own when viewing web pages and going back to a previous page by itself.
The Third is the built in email app. For some reason I can not get my email updates unless I refresh manually. No matter what auto refresh settings I have. If I go into the specific email app it is not a problem. Probably a software, not a hardware issue. I hope this gets solved when the update to "froyo" shows up.
I would have given "Design" 4.5 stars. Who had the "Bright Idea" to put the power cord attahment point on the top of the phone?
I really wanted the evo and ended up getting this phone. Dont get me wrong, samsung makes some pretty good phones. I really wanted to get away from the slide out keyboard, my old phone had it and just like that one, this one has the same problem. I have only had this phone for 3 days and already the touchscreen part is separating from the keyboard. Every time I type on the virtual keyboard it clicks together and is starting to really get annoying. Other than that this is an amazing phone, I love the android operating system and this phone sure brings it out. The video chat is even quite good. If this phone was a bar phone, everything the exact same, except without the slide out keyboard this would be the best phone i have ever owned.
This phone is easy to use and has enough tools to get most of what you need to right out of the box. The only downside to this phone is the battery. On a day of heavy use it may last anywhere between four to six hours before it'll need to be charged. If you work in the feild away from a power connection, you should invest in a car charger. It's still a good product for its' price.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
