Awesome Mobile Device! ...but...

Samsung knows what they're doing when it comes to mobile electronics. The Epic 4G is truly epic in almost every way. Fast, full-featured, easy to navigate, powerful, well appointed with plenty of apps and awesome accessories included, and the best graphics on any mobile...nay, any device. However, the TouchWiz UI leaves a lot to be desired. Along with the clunky UI come clunky, weird shaped, hard to read widgets. And some productivity widgets which are thought of as routine additions to most Android devices are overtly missing. The UI and widgets can be replaced and supplemented, so all is not lost. Note - the lack of a reasonably timed update to FroYo cost Samsung a couple stars in my book.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, included accessories
Cons: ui, lack of timely updates

I love this phone. Really a high quality phone, with a great display. very fast processor and rarely bogs down.
I love this phone, I will keep it as long as I can. I am a big fan of Android and have been a big fan of Samsung and Sprint. I believe this phone to be the best of the Galaxy S line. But, unless Samsung resolves whatever the issue is for getting the latest versions of Android to the phone, then I will be looking elsewhere. Right now I am on 2.1, and 2.2 is too big of an upgrade to ignore. I hope Samsung and all the carriers are realizing this. Deliver on your promise, Samsung. We users will worry about our own experience, that's the beauty of Android. You just provide the support.
Great features great phone. Price is a little high but you are getting a mini computer. Battery drains fast still figuring that part out.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, mini computer
Cons: battery life, price a little high

But if samsung and sprint would finish up the froyo update ,this phone would be what it was meant to be. A Great phone. So hurry up with froyo then start working on gingerbread.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, very resistant screen against cracking

hardware seems to be pretty nice. solid, good looking.
in other hand, the software, is not so 2011. still using Android 2.1? are you kidding me? HTC, LG, MOTOROLA using 2.2 & 2.3 ahead of Samsung? Not happy with it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable
Cons: sotware, 2.1 still
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my favorite phone I have owned in 15 years of having cell service. It is so user friendly that anyone can pick it up and use it with just a few tips. The battery life is not long enough because you will find yourself playing on it every spare moment. The only thing that it doesn't have but wished it did is spell check. My HTC Touch pro 2 had it and I used it all the time cause my spelling isn't the greatest! Still a GREAT phone!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, easy to lean/use
I would recommend this to a friend!
