Excellent - wish they made a Sprint 4g WITHOUT the keyboard

The biggest downfall of this phone IS the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Once you use "swype" you will never go back! I absolutely love this phone and can't wait until they update the operating system. Who needs an HDMI connection when you can connect with the wireless DLNA?!? (This phone would have gotten 5 stars all of the way across if they were running the latest android operating system and offered an option without a QWERTY keyboard.)
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, swype texting, dlna connectivity, hi-def recording/playback
Cons: expensive, not running latest android platform
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Epic 4 Galaxy S, 4g

It has it all. Touch (heat) screen, slide out keyboard, superior speed, outrageously adjustable settings, excellent video and music usability, just about perfect fit, form, function. And with the Android market there is no end to the things the phone is capable of doing. I fell in love after discovering all the possibilities they don't really tell you about. It's the absolute best phone I have found, and I compared a lot before I bought. It's definably a POWER phone. I can see this device making my home computer and home phone obsolete, literally.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, android market, endless possibilities in configuration
Cons: docking station doesn't completely secure device, short lived battery lives
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epic could be a lot better...

I've had the Epic now for a few months and to be honest it's average at best when compared to other android phones. My other phone is a Evo and when running the two side by side my Evo does much better at most everything. Most likely due to the fact the Evo has Froyo 2.2 while the Epic still has the slow, archaic 2.1 android OS. If and when the Epic gets updated I might feel differently. If it hasn't been upgraded by the end of January I will be getting rid of my Epic since it seems non-logical to have such a exspensive "smartphone" that isn't upported...
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no support for upgrades, great potential not yet unlocked
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome

This is absolutely the best smartphone ever. Upgraded from a BB Curve. Can never go back to a BB. The Android Apps are out of this world.
The only frustration I have is - I figure out an app that I love and then I can't remember how I did that/got there. Well I guess that's a human problem.
The video recorder is awesome. I've got great video of my son golfing and playing basketball. Tooooo Sweet. The video and pic quality is so much better than the BB.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, user friendly
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great device. Owned it since it first came out and it's one of the best phones on the market. The screen and colors are great and the speakers on it work fantastic, I could hear the sound from downstairs while the phone is on the second floor. Another plus, is the headphones that came in the box.
The keyboard is also another good thing about this phone. it works and feels amazing. The dedicated number row and shortcut keys are good and convenient to have.
Overall the phone is phenomenal, the screen, size of the phone, how light it is, speakers, camera, keyboard, apps. Everything on the EPIC works how it should, if not better.
I would recommend this phone to anybody any day.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no update for 2.2 still
I would recommend this to a friend!
