I often feel Samsung should be pay me to have this phone. It is a good phone, but it is sold as an above average experience. It is clearly less than that. Looking forward to another phone
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, battery
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great device though the new ones look way better than this one.
I had this phone for over a year and could never get accustomed to it's interfaces and features. The majority of my issues are with the Android OS and not the phone itself. I recently upgraded to an iphone5 and am much happier.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not user-friendly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This little beast is fast. Even though it's only on Android 2.1, the UI is very responsive and the super AMOLED screen is absolutely gorgeous. I love the built in task manager that Samsung included as well as the other nice widgets. The build quality along with the slider is very solid, although I wish the back plate was made of a more durable material and better locking/closing mechanism than just snap tabs. Overall - excellent phone. Very light, fast, and perfect size screen. Divx movies look amazing.
I've been using my phone non-stop since I got it on release day. battery life is OK considering how much horsepower is under the hood. Should get better with updates. I have had no issues with hardware and this phone just flies. Movies, games, everything looks great on the SuperAMOLED screen. Not my first android device, upgraded from an HTC Hero and will never go back to Sense. The snapdragon and sense on the Evo just isn't as responsive.
Best phone I ever purchased. Would like more details on how to upgrade and manipulate to perform as I need. Such as the interface. No complaints except it freezes up every once in a while. Over all, I love the phone!
