I have had the epic for 3 months or so.. and so far it has the best features of any phone ive seen yet.. it has the front facing camera and a keyboard... it has the typical high performance computer glitches.. like freezing occasionally.. and 3rd party apps or poorly made apps burn battery unnecessarily.. however i believe it because the device comes with android 2.1.. the screen is impervious.. really it is like a steel door it wont even scratch.. on top of that the feel is nice..
I have had this phone now for about a month. I have not had any issues with GPS, battery life. It is fast, good looking, and high performing. Would be better if it had Android 2.2. Great phone for the business person. Highly recommend it for its performance and responsiveness.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: lack of android 2.2
I would recommend this to a friend!

prefer this over its htc counterparts, but the lack of the 2.2 software is becoming irritating. and the lack of information coming from samsung about the update is even more irritating. so given the chance would i still pick this phone?? NOPE. to pay this much for a phone and it not be compatible with skype, or yahoo, or the new android is absolutely absurd
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could be better

Don't buy this phone for a heavy text user such as a teenager. If you do, they will never make it through 1/2 a day because of the battery life and the amount of energy the screen requires. On the construction, the phone comes across as flimsy for something that cost so much. I expected a better tactile feel from the phone. In short, my daughter can hardly wait to get rid of this phone and go to a different brand of phone.
