Very good phone. Great camera and speed. I love the screen quality with its vibrant colors and sharp images. Has all the latest features of todays smart phones and makes it even greater with the qwerty keyboard. light weight and very stylish. Seems very simple to the eye but packs a very powerful punch. With the growing android market, this phone truly is an upgrade from the iphone. Also battery life isnt as terrible compared to the other smart phones out there.
Cons: 2.2 android software???, 4g coverage not very broad
I would recommend this to a friend!

First off I love this phone…. I truly do.. If it weren’t for the neutering done by the end carrier this would be nirvana. The display is stellar , processor virtually unmatched.. architecture perfectly sound. A great piece of hardware overall.. However.. much of the power of this phone is squashed by poor implementation by the carrier.. Lack of upgrade to 2.2 Froyo at time of review.. disabling of many integrated hardware feature, gimping of installed memory and more have taken a perfectly designed phone.. (if you have root you will make more of it) and turned its chance at fame to a lackluster performance.. All in all a stellar design given to a lack luster software dev and deployment.. Still one of the best out at time of review though. and i do love the phone.
Cons: gimped by carrier

This is by far the best phone... actually I can't really call it a phone... because it does everything but wash the dishes for me!!! It's the best phone/pda/navigator/look up anything/ look at the stars on the Google sky map app/ does everything device I have ever had... and I say that while owning a 32g Ipod touch! I love this device, the only thing I would improve upon is the apps available to it, but that's not Samsung's fault lol. Samsung, you did it right with this bad boy!!! I just wish the app's would catch up! If the same caliber of applications were available to my Epic as there are to my Ipod touch.... well, I think my brain might explode! lol
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, does everything but dirty dishes lol, beautiful graphics, better sound than ipod touch by far, came stock w a 16g sd card
Cons: i want it to be easier to hook up to pc, my top of the line pc didn't recognize it
I would recommend this to a friend!

the best phone on the market

This is the best phone I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The only flaw I see is it should have had a dedicated @ button and allow us to customize the side button keys. Other than that this phone will be the phone to beat for a long time...
An amazing phone. The down side it hasn't been updated to 2.2. and every time I get off a call my phone acts up and I would have to pull the battery so that it would restart.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: battery life, phone calls
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone but needs flash to be able to use some internet sites. When they upgrade the Epic 4g will be totally functional.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: needs upgrade

Bought this device right before Thanksgiving after debating between it and the Evo for over 2 months and I couldn't be happier! I love the keyboard, the S-AMOLED screen, the processor etc. Just simply amazing! I also updated it to Froyo per the official release right before writing this review and it has enhanced an experience that I didn't think could be any better... Thanks Sammy! Next, TVs w/ Google TV built in!!!
