Stoked to move to android
on November 11, 2010

After many years of using a Palm device it was time to move on. Palm has done little to nothing in the last year since they released the ground breaking Pre. I'll miss a few things from that phone. Moving on, I'm loving the Epic however I do have one major beef. As a google device, why did Samsung decide to use MyCalendar as the default calender instead of my google calendar (or at least give me the option to change it). Please fix this! I've read countless other comments on other forums looking for a solution. Please Samsung fix this. Or if you have, please email me the solution.

I'm very happy with my epic. I got it the day they were released. It is so much more than a phone, I tend to use the internet with BLAZING fast speeds, you can most defenitly tell the diffrence from 3 to 4g speeds. I only use my Epic for listening to mp3's it is awesome to buy music and movies, download straight to the device and even start to watch while the movie is still downloading. I bought a 32g sd card and have 22 feture length movies, 700+ mp3's and tons of photos. The battery life has gotten much better after charging multiable times, I do all my banking and much more than I listed already every day, 1 charge last me 10 to 12hrs. The only draw back is not having android 2.2. From my undefstanding it should be released soon ffor the s class phones. When it is, I would change to 5 stars in all catogoties.
I had the phone for a week, had to give up for family emergency. But when I had it, I loved the swipe feature snd the speak to text feature also. I wish I had the phone still, I am havingwithdrawls from not having it. I love the apps avaiable and is good to work with on schedules and planning things. Dont give up the phone, I had too and I miss it.
I'm completely in love with this phone! I was reluctant to leave the blackberry family (I owned the Bold 9000) but I can't say I have any regrets. Everyday I experience something new on my phone - the apps are endless and the features are fantastic. The screen is brilliant and the camera takes the best pictures I've seen taken with a mobile phone. I am one VERY happy customer.
I originally started with the transform but after a week with that phone i decided to upgrade to the Epic figuring i would be stuck with phone for a couple years why not. After one week it is the best decision i could of made way more phone and features. My only complaint with the phone is really more about how i am with phones and have a tendency to go with bouts of trying to destroy my phones this phone the epic is fairly fragile, these touch screen phones will not take a lott of shock. Still amazed that this is alomst a mini pocket computer.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, compact
Cons: lacks shock resistance
I would recommend this to a friend!

I wouldnt call myself a mobile phone expert, but know a good phone when i see one. The samsung epic has to be one of the best phones on the market right now.Even with the recent release of countless phones, the Samsung Epic continues to be ahead of its time leaving all the others behind.
Ive been a sprint customer for over ten years, and this by far is the best phone i've had. It's quick, and all the features make this phone stands above the rest. Also the display is made with gorrila glass making it very durable.
