Worst Phone I've Ever Had By FAR.

This phone was so great at the beginning.
Now, It freezes, locks up, crashes, I take the battery out SEVERAL times a day, the touch screen goes out, memory fills up too fast, I do not get notified when I get a text, I can't even think of a pro. It's BAD.
At the moment I am without a cell due to the extremely poor quality of this peice of garbage.I try to go to the home screen and it says that an android process has stopped working unexpectedly. So I can't do anything.
I would NEVER recommend this to a friend.
Pros: none
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, crashes, freezes, runs slow, poor bettery life, unreliable, worst quality you could find in a phone
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Smart Buy

This is my first Android type phone, and I'm glad I bought a Samsung. At first I was a little perplexed with the learning curve of the new phone: from jumping from a "phone" to a smart phone was like leaping over a canyon. Definitely read the book, and watch the videos if you have never used a smart phone before. I really like the keyboard and the swipe technology. Even though the Evo has a bigger screen etc, you can't walk around charging all the time. I can run the Epic for about 2+ days without a recharge - plus still surf the web.
Only thing I see wrong with the Epic is I am much slower than it is. LOL
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epic 4G mixed emotions

I have owned HTC products for the past several years up until I purchased the Epic so I was a little concerned about what to expect from Samaung's new handset. So far it has been a good expierience. The screen is beautiful, the over all functionallity of the phone is excellent, and web browsing, for the most part, is effortless. This is my first Andriod phone so I can't comment on how it compares to other Android phones but the transition from Windows Mobile has been smooth thanks to this phone. The only 2 issues I have with this phone at this point is #1. If you don't have at least two chargers for it you will be with out a phone at some point during your day. Either buy a car charger along with included wall charger or have a charger at home and at work. #2. Android ver 2.2 is not availiable for this phone yet and Samsung has not been very forth coming about news related to this issue.
If you are on the fence about joining the Android movement...don't be! And further more if you are on the fence about this phone...don't be! This phone is a solid choice for any level of smart phone user.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: battery life

Had some issues at first with downloading apps, but it was a Google server issue, not a Samsung one. Design is thin for a full QWERTY having phone, reception and voice quality is great, and camera and camcorder is fantastic. Native Touchwiz widget offering was a tad bit lacking, in my opinion, as was the decision to leave out the Samsung-specific music player, but I've compensated for these with apps from the App Market. Otherwise, it's pretty fast, and works logically. Looking forward to more content in the Media Hub (a great native app), and for the update to 2.2 and beyond.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, vibrant hd video capture
Cons: lack of useful widgets

1.-BATTERY LIFE IS TOO SHORT. WHATS THE POINT OF HAVING A LED SCREEN IF YOU CANT FINISH THE MOVIE BECAUSE YOU RUN OUT OF BATTERY!!!
2.- NO FLASH PLAYER!!!
3.- PROBLEMS WITH THE POWER BUTTON BEEN TOO SMALL AND HARD TO PRESS WITHOUT PRESSING THE VOLUME OR MOVING THE SLINDING SCREEN.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display
I would recommend this to a friend!
