I have horrible signal problems and I have since I got the phone 8 months ago. I spend half the time putting it in airplane mode so I don't run down the battery. Sprint has even replaced the antenna for me and it is the same. My husband also has and HTC phone from Sprint but has much better coverage, so I know it is this phone.
Cons: poor 3g reception
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I broke my first one and even though there were newer phones available, I had to have another Epic. I especially like the keyboard and the display.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this cellphone since I first saw it, is like it was made for me. The only thing I don't like is that I think Samsung should give an update for it.

Great Phone

My wife has had this phone for almost 3 years and only has one complaint- the touch screen is much less sensitive now than it has been.
When it first came out it had a great size- it was small even though it was a slider, and it was exceptionally fast in comparison to other devices. The 4G is still faster than some other (new) products.
Slider keys are still great, still fast, still a great phone that works. Even just by WORKING it beats 95% of other phones from its heyday.
Some of the features take a while to figure out and navigation is not always the easiest. Excellent battery life with normal usage for having a touch screen. Super fast. As fast as my computer when web surfing. Faster than an iphone3. Super clear screen.
Cons: not enough tech support, costs $10 extra per month, i don't have 4g
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall I very pleased with the Epic, it gives me the power to manage my business effectively and has the entertainment features that help pass the time when I am relaxing. The only negative in my opinion is the size and the battery life but the good thing about being human is we are adaptable
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, excellent camera
Cons: Too big, battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

i like the teathered modem and wifi .i like all the features good design
This phone sells and looks a lot better than it really is. While the camera is excellent, it is the only feature worth using; however, even the awesome 5MP cam drains the battery to nil before you can even take three photos. I would know a lot more about the phone's features (maybe) if it would stay on for more than 30 minutes. It runs applications in the bg even after you've tried "killing" the apps several times.
Phone conversations; dreamy afternoons, skipping through fields while listening to tunes on your phone; time killed in long lines by your ability to surf the web: consider all those things muted by this clunky droid. It defies the concept of going futuristic as it is reminiscent of the old ginormous cell phones with its weighty body.
4G? A joke that hardly evokes laughter. I could be on an old dial-up connection that buffered faster. 3G and WiFi mode are more expedient.
My absolute *favorite* feature about this phone is its wondrous inability to send a text message with a picture attachment in real time. Instead, my pics show up only when WiFi is connected, which is--like--never, such that my pics show up in people's inboxes three weeks later. By then, of course, my message seems perplexing and untimely.
Memos have limits that are short, not good for a writer like me who was hoping for a phone on which I could write articles and upload asap as I used to do on my other phones with desktop capabilities. Screen & swype often malfunction. I still haven't been able to download a working driver; this is after multiple attempts on two laptops. I'm sure there's a solution, but who has time for the headache? O_O
It's so bad that I just added a new company and line, so I could have a *working* phone. Unfortunately, I'm locked into a contract on this chunk o' tech. *Sigh*
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Too big, Did not meet expectations, short battery life
