First of all this may be biased as it is my second galaxy phone and I truly loved this first one. This size of this thing is fairly big, but then again it is a pocket computer with a full keyboard so it's great.
Samsung got it right in so many ways. This phone is the bomb! It is an expensive puppy though, but with all this technology it's hard to beat.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Too big, bit expensive
I would recommend this to a friend!

Vivid Display

The crisp, vivid display is my favorite feature of this phone. I chose the Epic because I thought I'd need the slide-out keyboard for transitioning from Blackberry but now seldom use it.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color

This is not a very good phone for aggressive usage

I've been through 3 Epics in the last 6 months, the first one had key issues where a whole row went dead, and I've replaced 2 of them now, because the upper slider keeps wearing through the keys, to the point where you can't even see the letters anymore on a whole row.
Not very well designed. Phone software is also very buggy and constantly freezes up, requiring a reboot.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, poorly designed clearance between keyboard
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like it.. i was convinced to get the galaxy over the evo when they both first came out.. and i have no regrets. i luv it and cannot wait till the new one comes out.

Keyboard Lacking and Allshare is worthless

First off I bought this phone because of the Keyboard. I wanted an Android phone but I also wanted a full QWERTY Keyboard and the keyboard on this phone seemed to be great. However, after using this keyboard I have found that it is very very unaccurate and does not log every key press. It is not very reliable and does not respond very well. If the keyboard was better then I would have rated this phone much higher. But seeing that this phone's major feature is the slide out keyboard and that it is one of the worst keyboards I have had on my smartphones I couldn't rate it any higher than I did.
The other feature on this phone that has potential but falls flat (miserably) is the Allshare with Samsung Televisions. I had a video on my phone I tried to watch on the Television and it was so choppy, delayed, and unable to Cache on the TV that it was a worthless endeavor.
My final note on this phone, is that if you want a phone that can do anything for a period of time without having to be plugged in, you may want to look elsewhere. The battery life on this phone is abysmal. However, I have read that is common place with Android phones. So it may just be the nature of the beast.

Great phone for keyboard users. Just a slim as phones with no slide keyboard. So much better than iphone!

i have 3 friends who have this phone , it looked awesome & the features were fun ,when i was able to get a new phone i chose this one too . i truly do love this phone.sweet apps sweet features and cool camera !! I love my Galaxy Phone !!!

Poor Battery Life

I love just about everything about this phone, however the battery life is absolutely horrible. It takes 3-4 hours to get a full bar for the battery and after making ONE CALL I lost a bar. When the phone is not in use it loses power, regardless if apps are running or not. After one hour and 2 30 minute phone calls, I had to charge my phone up. I've had a blackberry for the last 5 years and if it wasn't for the the fact that the Black berry was on it's way to distinction, I would go back.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, poor battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
