I purchased this phone in September 2010 and I like the phone except for the battery life. I think battery life could be improved greatly. Also, improvement on running applications. I would reccommend it.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, love the camera....great pictures!!
Cons: battery life, too many running applications
I would recommend this to a friend!

This the most awesome phone. The largest screen; the fastest phone ever. Everything I do amazes me at how the phone reacts to the smallest request. The phone is the largest and fits right in my long skinny fingers. It's better than anything out there. I am happy, happy. Thank u Samsung for the best and the brightest.
I wanted this phone so bad! I was so happy to get it and wanted to love it. Unfortunately, the phone is extremely frustrating. The icons disappear for about 30 seconds so often it makes navigation difficult. I have taken it to the Sprint store 3 times and all they do is reset the phone -- no explanation as to why this is happening. The battery life is terrible. You have to turn off every app that makes the phone a smart phone off if you want to get through at least 6 hours of battery. I have yet to make it through a day on 1 battery charge -- and I am not a "heavy user." I would switch but the phone was SO expensive.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, software unreliable, poor battery live, bugs

Good phone - slow desktop restore

I really like my phone and most of it's features. The thing that I don't like about it is how slow it is to restore the desktop screens. When I exit a program or change the orientation of the phone it takes up to 20 seconds to restore the desktop icons. I do not blame this on the phone as much as the operating system. (Froyo 2.2) I have a Samsung Galaxy tab with the same operating system and the same slow response time.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: slow desktop restore
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Product is the best, but this is my 1st Smart Phone and i love it! It is not sensitive when you are talking, not like other phone when you are talking the call got disconnected. Lots of feature... you can do a lot of things in this device. The only problem i have is when I'm trying to watch a movie at the beginning there's a sound, but after couple or few minutes the sound will not work anymore and it does freeze every now and then. But the rest are good. I wish the new Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G have a qwerty! I know this new one will be awesome.
Pros: style
Cons: sound on movies not working
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had the Epic 4G for a year now and until the Nexus comes out it will serve me well. Easy to use and, in my opinion, the best slide-out keyboard phone on the market still.
Cons: gingerbread or ice cream sandwich not available
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the Epic 4G because I wanted a keyboard and those are going out of style, especially on higher end devices. I have had it for a year and a half and no other phone has caught my eye.
