Loved this phone when I purchased it six months ago. However, now all of the keys on the key pad are falling off or cracking in half and getting lodged under each other. Very poor quality keyboard. Phone shuts off all the time on it's own and have to check it often to ensure it is on.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Too big, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Epic 4g is a great phone. Only bad note is the battery seems to drain quickly, but if you manage your apps and turn off auto-sync on some it will last longer. There are newer versions with out the slide out keyboard but I like having it as an option. A+++ Phone
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: battery life

Just got it, but exceeded my expectations. I am old-fashined enough to like the tactile keyboard - a big plus in the purchase. However, Swype really does work by some techno miracle. Vastly improved cell coverage over my old ATT. Looks a little flimsy without any apparent real metal chassis.
I have had my phone since they came out. Love what all it does for me. If I needed to i could cut off my internet and do almost everything from my cell. I wanted to upgrade to the Epic Touch, but am hesitant after reading the cons from reviewers. The battery life of this phone is to be expected for everything it does. Wish camera was a little better, but we have a digital camera. For the most i think it is a pretty good phone. I don't like that after the Samsung software upgrade a while back it messed up my the way my contacts are displayed (facebook pics not shown anymore) Wish they would do another update. Overall it is a good phone, and i think every cell has it's ups and downs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone so far. The Samsung GalaxyS Epic, truely is Epic.
I can't find either on Sprints web site nor on Samsung's website the option to sync this phone. I can't figure out the way to and there are no options to do so anywhere. Also the phone doesn't even let you do it.
