[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start the typing on this laptop is really smooth, nothing lags. Pus it's touch screen! It charges really fast for one, it takes about 2 hours max and compared to other devices it dies pretty slowly. It has a huge screen and face id so you aren't missing any perks. I'd say for the price and it's functions you'll have this laptop for a long time i'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a regular or work laptop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works very well most of the time. The internet connection is slower than I've had with other computers in the same location, so I suspect the wifi board is not very good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new laptop for my sophomore year that could handle schoolwork, streaming, and just hanging out online. My old one was slow and had a tiny screen. After a lot of research, I got the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 with an AMD processor, and I'm honestly obsessed with it.
The first thing you notice is the screen. It's huge, 16 inches, but the laptop itself doesn't feel like a giant brick. The extra height is perfect for writing essays because you can see more of the document at once. For watching YouTube or movies, it feels like a little private theater.
The performance is just smooth. It starts up fast, doesn't lag when I have ten tabs open for a research project, and switches between my homework and my music effortlessly. I haven't heard the fan get loud once. The battery life is probably its best feature. I can use it through all my school classes and then for a few more hours at home without panicking about the charger. It's a relief not to be tied to an outlet.
I also have to talk about the keyboard. Typing on it is actually comfortable, which is a big deal when you have a five-paragraph essay due. The keys have a nice click to them. The touchpad is huge and really responsive. I hardly ever feel the need to use a mouse.
It looks and feels more expensive than it is. The lid is metal and it just seems solid, not cheap or plasticky. I also love that it has all the ports I need, including an HDMI to connect to my TV and a regular USB port for my flash drive, so I don't need to carry annoying adapters.
Is it perfect? Well, the speakers are just okay. They're fine for videos, but I use my headphones for music. And while it's slim, it's still a 16-inch laptop, so it takes up a good amount of space in my backpack.
But overall, I'm so happy with it. If you're a student or just need a reliable laptop for everyday stuff, this is an awesome choice. It does everything really well without costing a crazy amount. It's become my go-to for basically everything, and I'd definitely tell my friends to get one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the 10 Key on this computer which is one of the reasons I chose it. The Cosmic Blue color is really nice and I enjoy the change from the standard grey, silver, black colors most laptops are. I have not had any issues in performance but I'm using this mainly as a personal productivity computer. I have only played Minecraft on it but I noticed no issues in performance there either. Overall I am very pleased with this laptop and would purchase again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Consider that I'm comparing my 9 year old Windows 10 laptop, so my bias is that this new one is incredibly fast. Going from a spinning disc drive to solid state memory ... there's no comparison. It's everything the reviews said about it. The speaker is pretty poor. But the screen is better than the reviews I read.
