Screen went black after 7 months

I loved using this phone. It was great. Especially being able to tuck it in any pocket or a tiny purse.
Unfortunately, after only 7 months, the open screen went black. The phone still works, i can feel it vibrate while the phone is open but it won't turn on. I tried all of the tricks and techniques on the internet and nothing worked. The authorized fixit dealership was no help and the only way to get it fixed is to mail it to Samsung and because of my work, I just can't be without a phone for any period of time.
Had to get a new phone but since I can't get into the old one, I can't use Smart Switch to transfer my data. I've been able to get most of it from the cloud but I lost almost all of my pictures over the years. Yes, they are also on the cloud but I have to download each one and create new albums.
I lost a few other apps that didn't transfer over that had important information needed.
Some people have this phone and never have any issues. Just do your research.

I like compact phones that fit in my trousers pocket, not "phablets" that are cumbersome to carry.
I also like the phone hanging upon closing feature.
The main screen is better protected from falls since it is protected in both sides when folded.
This iteration of Z-flip has a less visible screen crease and reacts faster than previous Z-flip.
