Newer is not necessarily better

I purchased a One Blade when it was first released. I like it. After a few years I needed new blades only to find newer models had come out. I couldn't find blades for my old One Blade so I bought a newer model. It's smaller and lighter but does not show battery life. The new model takes forever to charge whereas the old One Blade charges in less than an hour. The comb for the newer model is not as effective as the old version. Therefore I have kept both. I use the old model to trim my beard. I use the newer model without a comb for removing unwanted hair. The 360 rotating feature is useless on the newer model. Basically Norelco got it right the first time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the original hair trimmer by Philips back in the day, so I was a little skeptical about the buzzword of '360' but having bought it, I like it a lot. It makes trimming a beard quick, easy and clean up on the new 360 blade guard is a breeze... literally you can just blow on it to clean it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the OneBlade to replace a large, heavy, much more expensive beard trimmer whose rechargeable battery would no longer recharge. The OneBlade is better in every way. It’s smaller and lighter, thus easier to use. It does its job, just as the old trimmer did but it doesn’t waste space or money on features and accessories I never needed or used. It just does one job, trimming my beard, very well.
