Coffee is fine and small quantity feature is handy but after I set the clock for present time of day I had to unplug and move the unit and the clock has not worked since, no matter what I did to reset it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The kitchenaid coffee maker was a gift it makes great coffee and has nice features! only problem is sometimes the water is fed to fast into the ground coffee tha t we have grounds in the coffee. Other than that it's a great product.

Received this for Christmas and love it! Just wish the water could be put in from the front - I don't like pulling it out from under my cabinets and filling up.

Good looking on the counter, brews great coffee, and easy to use. I love the removable tank - simplifies filling, and is easier to clean when necessary. It would be more useful to debunk the few negative reviews. The access door for the basket latches positively every time. The programming is a bit clunky, but not out of hand, and once done, needs no further tweaking. (Just keep the manual, in case)
I can set up next morning's brew in minutes, and holding down the brew button for 3 seconds - beep - ready to go for auto brew at 5 AM! Couldn't be easier.
