Nice train, wish came with another passenger car

Another nice set from Lego. Looking at pictures of the previous releases, looks on par or better. Great feature with side of passenger car removal. Kids having fun with it.
Few wish list improvements
1) Came with regular Lego train trucks (magnets) so can use with other train sets. This was a major disappointment with the kids. Working on modifying to correct.

2) Came with a second or more passenger cars. Not sure purchasing a second set is the way to go as most of the set will be unusable for more than one additional car and an expanded train station will be limited. Thinking Lego Bricks and Pieces or Bricklink better option. Guessing you can make two passenger cars for the price if one additional set. Wish Lego offered additional cars, but understand not profitable enough to produce.
3) No mini fig supplied to drive the train. Need an engineer.
Best feature, the side of the passenger car being removable. So easy to get your fingers in there. Two thumbs up Lego.

Great little steam engine

This is a very nice set. Not into Harry Potter, love the train. We bought two sets, used the parts of the second set to increased the length of the engine and tender. Bit of effort to modify to work with other Lego trains.

No standard train couplers, cannot use with other city trains

Summery, this is a nice looking steam engine set not designed to work with other city trains. You can modify to work with other city trains sets but will need to purchase additional parts.
Hopefully this set sells well and Lego offers more train themed sets.

A Not Perfect Journey

This set is great! If you are having doubts about buying it, I would tell you to get it that same day. The build is excellent and works nicely. The platform area is better than I expected. Almost everything about this set is great.
The Build
Building this was very simple and fun. The only problem I have with any part of this set it that there is no room to have the trolley witch push her cart down the aisle with the wall up. The compactness of the carriage is what gets me. I feel like it should be just a tad bigger. Besides that, there isn’t anything else that’s bad.

The Minifigures
The selection for this set is great! Ron, Harry, and Hermione are their average figures. Lupin’s figure is my least favorite. The dementor is amazing and wonderfully designed! The trolley witch has more printing on it than I expected. However, if feel like the set needed a conductor. I get that they can run the train with magic, but it looks weird on display without someone controlling it.

Great Train

This is a really cool set which was a lot of fun to put together. The train is beautiful and rolls quite smoothly. The figures are nice and being able to open the passenger car easily makes it very playable.
One glaring miss is that this set does not come with any tracks. I had to buy a set of tracks separately so my display has a short track underneath it, which seems like it should've been an obvious add.
One other issue is that the stair arch comes apart easily with light play. It's not terrible, however, it could've been made a bit sturdier.
All that being said, I still love the aesthetic of this set and would buy it again if someone were to want one.

I love this! The mini figures are awesome! I just bout tracks, and I have been watching some videos on how to customize it to add power! Just bought the motor to do so, and I just set up the tracks!
