We have had the system for several years, several months ago I had a thermostat malfunction, it was changed out but the installer left the original back plate in place. The batteries were replaced shortly afterwards. Recently the batteries were replaced again, with the old ones showing unusual corrosion on the ends. Originally a supporter of the product and seeing the review from exquisite heat, I am suspicious of recurring issues around malfunctions in the backing plate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hopelessly Complicated

A HVAC repair person installed this unit to replace an older Honeywell unit that had died. Each time I make almost any sort of change, the process is unbelievably complicated. There are menus without end. Do yourself a favor and buy a different controller.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice thermostat

Used the unit for a couple years now with no problems Fairly simple in function as well as design.Will stay with this product and look at other products they have to when upgrading in the future .
I would recommend this to a friend!

good low end t-stat

The t-stat was installed 1.5 years ago when we installed a new heat pump system in our house. It works great, no issues programming, it works great on Wi-Fi. Just read the instructions and it will do pretty much what you want it to.

Will not start the heat unless the temp is set too

Was working well last winter, turned the system off during the summer time, now trying to get the heat starts but no luck, It will trigger the furnace only if I set it to 10+ degrees higher than the room temperature, can not find where to adjust the deadband or the deferential.

Piece of crap

Notice the one positive review is from an installer. Try to download a user manual, I dare you, I called C.S. and was told, they won't allow you to. So you buy this piece of crap, want to program it and you're left to you own devices, shts buried in the software, it isn't intuitive, or you can call the "technician" you know the kid that barley graduated from HS, but managed to take a few classes and works for uncle Sid to fix it, he has the manual.
Wouldn't buy again, in fact I'm thinking of yanking the thing out and replace it with a reputable company's product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replaced some other brand WIFI thermostats, these have a better PID algorithm and better electronic components in the controller.

Make this thermostat easier to use

So unuserfriendly to program that the temperature in our office is never comfortable.
