I want to love this

I have long fine hair. The straighteners, brushes, dryer are amazing attachments. The shaping and smoothing provided beautiful results. The Airwrap barrels, not so much. Initially the curls looked fantastic but fell within the hour. I think for the price, there are adequate tools on the market that straighten and smooth for a fraction of the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice tool for hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this last week and have used it a few times now. I love the hair dryer attachment as it dries my hair faster than any other unit I’ve used. As far as the barrels, for long hair I’d figure it would be better at holding thicker hair but I have to do very small amounts of hair at a time so it’s very time consuming to do all of my hair. The result is beautiful but it’s a lot of work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn’t work

Drys my hair perfect but the curls last ten minutes then fall out . Even with a bunch of hair spray they just don’t work definitely not worth the money just buy a curling iron instead

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're having a tough time getting curls to stay, when using the Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler. If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.

Curl does NOT hold

I was so excited. My sister-in-law said the Dyson Airwrap was life changing. Unfortunately, my curl looks fabulous until I move. Then it goes completely straight. Like stick stright. I've tired, having drier hair when I go to curl it, to completely dry hair, to hair with more moisture in it, I've tried different shampoos, etc. I cannot get my the curl in my hair to hold more than 30 seconds. Could it be I live in Idaho where it's more dry? When I first tried it I was visiting in Texas. I made one curl and it held great all day. Or is it the new model doesn't work as well as the old one? I do like the blow drier portion of my Dyson Airwrap. It gives my hair body and doesn't go flat through out the day. But I have no curl whatsoever. Too expensive for it not to perform and hold a curl. That's why I purchase one

Great product

While I felt like the price was a bit steep, I am so glad that I purchased this. The one I ordered and received came with a case to hold the airwrap and accessories. There's a bit of a learning curve but after watching a few YouTube videos, I have figured out how to use it for different styles. I like that the air wrap is long and I am able to style my hair in about 10 minutes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wish I had this decades ago

In my 20s and 30s I used to hate blowing drying my hair so I rarely did. I’d let it air dry so most of the time I had my hair pulled back in a bun. My sister convinced me to get the Dyson Air Wrap. What a game changer. I now style my hair every week with it and don’t mind spending the time doing it. It cuts blow drying time in half compared to a regular blow dryer and I can style it multiple ways, straight, beachy waves, etc and the videos showing you how really helped. I also love that it comes in a really nice case to keep it all nicely organized. Yes, they are way more expensive than any other hair dryer, but it was so worth it. I just wished I had purchased mine just a few months later when they rolled out the new copper one since it seems to have better attachments especially the longer barrel as I have long hair. That’s the only complaint I have with the curling barrel is that it was made too small for long hair. Although the new attachments fit in my version, I really don’t want to make the extra expense so I deal with it. So if you’re going to buy an air wrap, get the new version.

Faulty product with many issues

My Dyson Airwrap's power button broke a month after I purchased it. I kept using it by just plugging it into the wall. It recently stopped working all together. I have a refurbished model that is just a little over a year old, and I was told that nothing can be done. I have a Dyson fan that I absolutely love that has been working for more than 5 years now with no issues. The air-wrap cost me the same and now I have a whole entire complete set I can't use. I feel like that was just money down the drain, unless I get the body replaced. A purchase that expensive should last many years, refurbished or not! Or at least be replaced with no issues. I'm very disappointed with the product and the overall experience.
