Great, for as long as it works

Like many, my Airwrap just completely stopped working (wouldn’t power on) - it’s clean, not a breaker issue…and it’s my SECOND one. I assumed the first time it happened, I had done something. Even worse, you can’t just buy a new base unit if you’re out of warranty (which I was, by ~8 months when it happened, making my product about 2 years old). I don’t need more attachments, even as I question my sanity for considering another one (probably because I have ALL the extras at this point).
Giving this two stars to average it out from my “it’s awesome” and “it’s dead” experiences.

Attachment broke easily-replacement part

I ordered a replacement part for the air wrap curling rod. I really struggle with trying to use the same one all around so I really prefer to have both directions functioning. It broke at the top and the air really lost its focus. I’m ordering another but it been a month and I keep following up. Still don’t have the replacement

Great product with a couple drawbacks

I’ve been using my air wrap almost daily for about 3 months now. I like that I really can’t burn myself, and how quiet it is. Also, it’s one of the only drying devices I’ve used that doesn’t make my hair frizzy/staticky, which is a big plus.
I knocked off one start because Dyson really needs more attachments for different hair types. The current attachments are probably great for people with thick stranded hair. I have short (barely jaw length) fine stranded hair, and I have a lot of it, so it’s always been hard to style. I have all the attachments for short hair. My hair just slips through all the brush attachments because the bristles are too wide to hold my hair, so I end up using the other hand to hold my hair against the attachment, which moderately works. The round brush holds my hair the best, but is really too big for the length of my hair. I will usually finish off with the curling attachments because they are small enough to get the gentle curve to my straight hair. I have tried to use them as intended to curl my hair, but find if I don’t clip back every other piece of hair that I don’t want sucked into the wand, then all my hair gets sucked in and doesn’t curl properly.
I would love it If Dyson came out with a smaller diameter round brush attachment, as well as a new flat brush attachment with either more bristles, or include the boar hair type bristles in between the regular ones.

fits easily in small hands

I have small hands, and most hand tools are hard to hold. The styler is easy to grasp and manipulate. The accessories work very well. First time using the curler barrels I ended up with Nellie Olsen style sausage curls- before breaking them up into gorgeous disorganized curls. Where was this tool when I was a teen?!? I am glad I bought it, but it is so expensive it us not an impulse buy item.

The learning curve is worth it!

I've had my Dyson Airwrap for about two weeks. There is definitely a learning curve to using it, but with careful review of the directions, each use becomes a little easier and the results better. I tried different hair products along with the Dyson Airwrap and have found a combination that works very well for my fine hair, making it fuller with lasting style. I couldn't be more pleased!

I am disappointed and not sure if I can return it. It is a great quality item very sturdy and well put together but that is not why I got it. It dries my hair nice but the curls do not last and i don’t think it is helping my overall hair health. Definitely not worth the price. Like others mentioned I wish I rather got the blowdryer. I wanted to give this product a fair chance and now it is probably too late to return.

I received this as a gift from my hubby. I was really surprised because I wasn't positive it was worth the money and wasn't going to buy it myself. I'm so glad to have it because I absolutely love how my hair curls with it. It's so much easier than a curling iron and less damaging. I use a styling product on damp hair so the curls stay all day long. I am totally sold on the Airwrap now that I own it!
