I’m extremely frustrated with this product, as much as I love some of the attachments. The styling brush, smooth attachment, brushes are all great. I received this for Christmas so of course could not wait to try it. However, this picture is after 3 months of trying the curl atttachments for the air wrap. Pin straight. My hair usually curls nice with curling irons, wands, and even straighteners. I have tried with and without product, a mix of product, dirty and clean hair, and every time my hair comes out pin straight within 5 minutes of finishing. Very disappointed in the money my husband put forth for 2 of the main attachments to not even work. I will admit I love how my hair looks, but loosing time on vacation to curl and the pictures show the straight outcome is extremely frustrating. Any help or styling tips would be wonderful.

Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback, regarding your experience thus far with the Airwrap™ multi-styler. We're sorry to know that you've found this product to be so frustrating to use. There is most definitely a learning curve, in getting used to this haircare device, as well as getting used to how differently it works from traditional stylers or curlers that rely on extreme heat. The number one thing we do hear from owners is that curls are tricky, which you have mentioned here.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls.
The first thing I do always recommend when customers present with the feedback on curls not holding, is to definitely experiment with how wet or damp your hair is. If you begin with your hair wet, try to dry it a bit longer next time, or if you begin with it fairly dry, leave more moisture in the hair. You can always go back with a spray bottle of water to add dampness to each section as you style. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to get this since everyone loves it. However, it’s not as easy to do it yourself … seems super easy but at times it won’t grab my hair well. Also I wish it was cordless and lighter my hands get tired of holding it . I’m a little disappointed but I already bought . Baby steps in learning how to use it well.

Hello Bri, this is Kelly with Dyson. We were so happy to hear how excited you were to purchase and try out the Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler. It's disappointing to hear that it's not meeting or exceeding your expectations. We can confirm that there is definitely a learning curve when using this device. It can take some time to get used to the barrels and different attachments. It's also useful to experiment with how dry you get your hair before styling, or if starting with dry hair, how wet to dampen each section as you style. We do offer a 30-day return period, as we really want owners to try out our technology, and make sure that it's a great fit.

In my 20s and 30s I used to hate blowing drying my hair so I rarely did. I’d let it air dry so most of the time I had my hair pulled back in a bun. My sister convinced me to get the Dyson Air Wrap. What a game changer. I now style my hair every week with it and don’t mind spending the time doing it. It cuts blow drying time in half compared to a regular blow dryer and I can style it multiple ways, straight, beachy waves, etc and the videos showing you how really helped. I also love that it comes in a really nice case to keep it all nicely organized. Yes, they are way more expensive than any other hair dryer, but it was so worth it. I just wished I had purchased mine just a few months later when they rolled out the new copper one since it seems to have better attachments especially the longer barrel as I have long hair. That’s the only complaint I have with the curling barrel is that it was made too small for long hair. Although the new attachments fit in my version, I really don’t want to make the extra expense so I deal with it. So if you’re going to buy an air wrap, get the new version.
I’ve been using my air wrap almost daily for about 3 months now. I like that I really can’t burn myself, and how quiet it is. Also, it’s one of the only drying devices I’ve used that doesn’t make my hair frizzy/staticky, which is a big plus.
I knocked off one start because Dyson really needs more attachments for different hair types. The current attachments are probably great for people with thick stranded hair. I have short (barely jaw length) fine stranded hair, and I have a lot of it, so it’s always been hard to style. I have all the attachments for short hair. My hair just slips through all the brush attachments because the bristles are too wide to hold my hair, so I end up using the other hand to hold my hair against the attachment, which moderately works. The round brush holds my hair the best, but is really too big for the length of my hair. I will usually finish off with the curling attachments because they are small enough to get the gentle curve to my straight hair. I have tried to use them as intended to curl my hair, but find if I don’t clip back every other piece of hair that I don’t want sucked into the wand, then all my hair gets sucked in and doesn’t curl properly.
I would love it If Dyson came out with a smaller diameter round brush attachment, as well as a new flat brush attachment with either more bristles, or include the boar hair type bristles in between the regular ones.
I expected my Dyson Airwrap to last longer than 3 years. I invested in the product because of Dyson's reputation for long lasting products. So disappointed.

I debated on getting this for a long time due to mixed reviews and I’m so glad I went for it. I just can’t believe how well it works. I mainly use the barrel attachment for soft curls. I have fine hair that can’t handle high heat from curling irons so I was looking for a better option. It’s so easy to use and my curls last all day. It’s basically a miracle.
