Horrible battery
on May 21, 2025

The ring started out fantastic, but now it will not hold a charge. I went from 100% at 3pm to dead by 9pm. That is ridiculous for how much this cost. I have tried resetting to factory settings and deleting the ring from my phone and reconnecting it. I'm very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there LM89, Thanks for taking the time to review your Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your honesty as we strive to provide the best products with superior functionality on the market to our customers. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please feel free to check out the resources shared below to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your device. If you would like any further assistance afterward, please feel free to contact Samsung Support at your leisure. Thank you for being a loyal Samsung customer. - Debra

Will fail on you right when the warranty expires
on February 28, 2026

I bought two of these rings. BOTH of them completely failed within 15 months of purchase - basically stopped working and wouldn't hold charge or connect. Fortunately for me, one of them failed within the 12 month warranty period. Unfortunately for me, the other failed just after and I am stuck with a very expensive dead device. 100% FAILURE RATE.

Stylish and long battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted something to still track my heath, without having to wear a smartwatch, because I love my real watch. The Galaxy Ring is perfectly added to my existing Samsung Galaxy phone ecosystem because it uploads to Samsung Health all the data I need, like Step count, sleep tracking, and daily energy score using Galaxy AI technology. By far the best benefit is not having to charge it every night like a smart watch because it can hold around 5 days worth of charge by itself, plus the little included charging case charges it another 1.5x if you are out traveling for a while. It also looks really great and after over a year of having it, it still looks amazing and only is scratched on the bottom from normal wear. It also doesn't interfere with wearing at the gym with dumbbells or anything I do there. Very pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchase Galaxy Ring and was able to use about 4 month. Battery completely dead in 4 hours. Reset didn't help. Contacting Samsung Customer service is another challenge. Representative don't have answers and I was transfer from one department to another and I have to explain my problem on top verifying if I am account holder. Also purchase Samsung Care. Same story another department. This experience for over 20 years loyal customer just pushing back from the brand. Paid $400 for not working device and I can not fing solution even when you purchase additional warranty.

Battery issues

I have had 2 rings and both batteries went bad after 6/7 months of use. The only reason why I am giving it a 2 star rating is due to the fact it works great with my Samsung phone. For the ridiculous high price, it's not worth it. I changed over to Oura and have been a lot happier. I do not recommend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like the info and feedback I get, but ring is kind of flimsy. I've already (in 2 weeks) knocked off a good bit of the black color. We'll see how it holds up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Howdy Todd, Thanks for taking the time out of your hectic day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your feedback as we strive in providing the best products with superior functionality on the market for our customers. Here's a few tips and precautions to ensure your Galaxy Ring works correctly and maintains its appearance. > Clean the ring’s sensor at least once per week to remove foreign materials that may interfere with the sensor’s biometric detection. Wipe the ring with a soft cloth or rinse it using a soap-free detergent. Make sure to dry it thoroughly. > Prevent the ring from being exposed to dust, sweat, ink, oil, and chemical products such as cosmetics, antibacterial sprays, hand cleaners, detergents, and insecticides. The ring’s exterior and interior may become damaged, which may result in poor performance. If the ring is exposed to any of these substances, clean it using a soft, lint-free cloth. > Skin irritation may be caused by soap, detergents, hand sanitizers, or cleaning agents left on the ring. > Never use external heat sources, ultrasonic waves, soap, cleaning agents, abrasive materials, or compressed air to clean the ring. Doing so may damage the ring. > When removing sunblock, lotion, or oil, clean the ring with a soap-free detergent and then rinse and dry it thoroughly. Please feel free to review, "Keep your Galaxy Ring clean" and "How to set up and wear your Galaxy Ring" to learn more about keeping your device in its pristine condition. If you would like any further assistance afterward or if you would like to share additional feedback with us, please do not hesitate to contact Samsung Support. Thank you for being a devoted Samsung customer. - Debra
