Great for 3 months...
on January 14, 2024
Posted by: KJ12
Watch was great for the first 3 months. Since January 5th, it won't connect to my phone at all. Now, the battery doesn't even last a day. I charged it this morning and it's already at 23% 10 hours later (battery saver on!). Battery life was great up until a couple days ago. The app won't open on my phone either. Very disappointed. I paid for a smart watch and none of the features work anymore.
.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey there Samsung,
Thank you for finding the free time out of your busy day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch6. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. Apps you download and install onto the watch can cause the watch to get stuck in a boot loop or not boot past the logo screen. Rebooting it should fix the problem, but you will need to uninstall any apps that were installed before the issue occurred. If the watch is connected to a phone, you must clear the data for the Galaxy Wearable app. If the problem continues, inspect the watch and charger for damage, and factory reset the watch. Check out, "Samsung smart watch stuck in a boot loop or will not boot last logo screen" to help resolve what you have been experiencing with your Galaxy Watch6, linked below. Let us know if you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance afterwards by reaching out to Samsung Support at your earliest convenience. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer.

Overheating issues.
on February 29, 2024

Just got the galaxy watch 6 today. Paired my headphones and tried to workout with the new watch... only for it to overheat during my warm-up. Why market a watch that is supposed to help track your fitness if it can't handle a warm-up let alone a workout? Having issues the very first day isn't very reassuring.

All Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. Take a moment to review, "Keep your Galaxy device at its normal operating temperature" to learn how you can keep your device at its optimal operating temperature. Horrible battery life.

When I upgraded from the original Galaxy watch which had an amazing battery life I thought this would be an improvement. I was wrong. The original Galaxy watch had a battery life of several days at least 48 hours. The charge on this watch doesn't last 24. That makes the Sleep coaching and all the other sleep apps useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
