I am very sorry to hear that the cartridge seemed to get empty very fast. We always strive to make our products to be of good quality.
Here are a couple facts about toner usage:
- A high-density print (like a photo or graph) will use the toner more quickly than a low-density print (a text-only document). So perhaps that is part of what is using up the toner so fast.
- Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help page yield.
When it seems that the low page yield of the ink was caused by a defective toner cartridge, you are always free to contact us for support: hp.com/contactHP
