[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall my experience with this surge protector is adequate but not impressive by any means. It is a basic outlet nothing fancy. I used it in my main living space for my laptop lamp phone charges and tablet charger. I was fine with the number of outlets but disappointed it did not include a USB outlet which would’ve been hugely beneficial.

Versatile and HighCapacity Surge Protector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I’m really impressed with this Staples 8-Outlet Surge Protector. It’s well-built has excellent outlet spacing and feels like a solid upgrade from standard power strips. I used it to plug in a mix of large and small devices—including my MacBook Pro baby’s Mamaroo swing phone charger and a desk lamp. What stood out right away was that I didn’t have to “choose” which big charger to use—I could plug in multiple bulky adapters without losing space which is a rare feature! The 8 outlets provided more than enough room for everything I needed and the 6ft cord gave me flexibility to place it exactly where I wanted. The 4 500-joule protection also gave me peace of mind knowing my electronics are safe. What I liked most was how practical the design is—especially for a family or office setting where multiple high-powered devices are used at once. My only suggestion? I’d love to see it in a black or darker color to better hide dust and scuffs over time.

Sturdy and reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Tech 8-Outlet Surge Strip is great for accommodating multiple devices such as laptops phone chargers entertainment systems and more all in one convenient spot. A highlight of this strip is that the spacing between the outlets allows for bulkier plugs and you can easily plug in all your devices without anything getting blocked. The strip also feels sturdy and the 6-foot cord provides plenty of length from a wall outlet to another space. My one complaint though is due to the nature of this strip having outlets facing multiple ways it does come off as bulkier and not as sleek as other power strips on the market. A nice option to have would be having this strip offered in black as well because despite the white color being clean and bright it can stand out too much depending on aesthetics of the room and the personal taste of the buyer.

Almost Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Tech 8 outlet Surge Protector is a robust and reliable power strip that offers excellent protection and functionality for my home office setup. Out of the box it was easy to see that the durable construction and sleek white design make it a practical and aesthetically pleasing addition to any workspace. I was impressed with how low profile the protector was and it was easily able to fit flat under our desk at home. Upon receiving the product I switched out our old bulky protector for this one and easily was able to connect multiple monitors a gaming computer Xbox and docking station. My favorite feature was the 4 widely spaced outlets that easily accommodated bulkier plugs. If I could change one thing I would love to have had a couple of USB-C plugs included. My old protector had these and I do find myself missing them after switching.

Reliable and spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great power strip! It lays flat enough that I was able to slide it under my bookshelf even with things plugged in. There are 8 ports to plug into and they offer plenty of spacing options for plugs of all kinds/sizes. I have a laptop charger my television my gaming system a lamp another extension cord and a phone charger all plugged in to it and they work perfectly. My favorite part is that it plugs into the wall flat which is super helpful for behind the bookshelf! The cord from the wall to the plug-in deck is plenty long for any normal electronic purposes. Green lights let you know the power is on and functioning. Wonderful product; no complaints here!

Simple and solid Surge Protector Strip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surge protector strip is simple but solidly laid out with everything you need. For us it’s being used behind my desk for my monitor tower standing desk and eventually more devices! Plenty of outlet space for devices a back made to easily mount it and an easy access switch for when it IS mounted are thoughtful features. One complaint is the wall plug - it’s a bit large and makes it harder to plug something above it if that other wall plug runs big plus the plug angles to the right but for us that’s no big deal. If you wanted it to run to the left that might be annoying but it’s still totally possible just note it doesn’t swivel! Also note this is a LARGE strip so it wouldn’t fit in a desk tray but it can still be mounted and gives extra space for larger plugs - my standing desk and monitor have larger plugs and this thing handles that with zero problems and space to spare! Really appreciate the indicator lights to show whether or not it’s been tripped and also the solid feel it has too! All in all very happy with this surge strip and its quality thus far! Would have liked a darker color like black for it to blend with my desk better but it’s awesome in all the other important ways so it’s staying!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Staples Tech 8 Outlet Surge Strip with 4500 Joule protection and it has been a worthwhile addition to my home office. My overall impression is very positive. The white color works for my room and the strip itself feels sturdy and well built. The 6 foot cord is a good length to connect my outlet to my desk and it doesn't look bulky. I have been using this power strip mostly for my home office equipment which includes a desktop computer monitor printer desk lamp phone charger tablet charger. The 4500 joule protection makes me fairly certain I will be protected from any power surges. The eight outlets have been perfect for all my hookups. I really like that they're spaced well enough for larger plugs without blocking other outlets. I have about six devices connected and two spare outlets for other possible items. What I like most about this surge protector is the high joule protection 4500 seems to be quite a lot and the thoughtful outlet layout. The protection for my electronics and the ability to have all my devices centrally powered makes this a really useful tool and good value.
