Reliable and spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great power strip! It lays flat enough that I was able to slide it under my bookshelf even with things plugged in. There are 8 ports to plug into and they offer plenty of spacing options for plugs of all kinds/sizes. I have a laptop charger my television my gaming system a lamp another extension cord and a phone charger all plugged in to it and they work perfectly. My favorite part is that it plugs into the wall flat which is super helpful for behind the bookshelf! The cord from the wall to the plug-in deck is plenty long for any normal electronic purposes. Green lights let you know the power is on and functioning. Wonderful product; no complaints here!

Almost Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Tech 8 outlet Surge Protector is a robust and reliable power strip that offers excellent protection and functionality for my home office setup. Out of the box it was easy to see that the durable construction and sleek white design make it a practical and aesthetically pleasing addition to any workspace. I was impressed with how low profile the protector was and it was easily able to fit flat under our desk at home. Upon receiving the product I switched out our old bulky protector for this one and easily was able to connect multiple monitors a gaming computer Xbox and docking station. My favorite feature was the 4 widely spaced outlets that easily accommodated bulkier plugs. If I could change one thing I would love to have had a couple of USB-C plugs included. My old protector had these and I do find myself missing them after switching.

Trusty surge strip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 8-outlet surge strip is perfect for my needs. I love that the plug that goes into the wall is flat. This allows me to plug in the surge strip behind my cabinet and the cabinet can remain pretty flush against the wall. The 6 foot cord is the ideal length for me. The cord can reach my desk and allows me to plug in my computer charger monitor printer and more. Before getting this Staples Tech 8-outlet surge strip I was using a 3-outlet strip and it wasn't enough for me. I was always having to use other outlets to plug in extra items like my phone charger tablet charger etc. I also love that this surge strip offers 4 outlets that are close together for traditional plugs while also having 4 outlets that are spaced out far apart. This is great for my computer charger and other plugs that are large. It's also peace of mind knowing this outlet strip has the surge protection feature. You never know when this will come in handy. This 8-outlet surge strip truly is great. The only thing I'd change would be making the cord a more flexible material.

The Staples Tech 8-Outlet Surge Strip (4 500 Joules 6ft) has been an absolute game-changer for keeping everything powered organized and safe. The 8 outlets are perfectly spaced so I can plug in larger adapters without blocking other slots and I no longer have to constantly swap out devices. The 4 500-joule surge protection gives me peace of mind especially during storms or power fluctuations—I know all our expensive school and office tech is safe. The 6-foot cord is the perfect length to reach our homeschool table from the wall outlet without creating a mess or trip hazard. I also love the flat plug design which fits neatly behind furniture. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall my experience with this surge protector is adequate but not impressive by any means. It is a basic outlet nothing fancy. I used it in my main living space for my laptop lamp phone charges and tablet charger. I was fine with the number of outlets but disappointed it did not include a USB outlet which would’ve been hugely beneficial.

Great addition to home office

My overall impression is that it’s a well-built reliable surge protector that handles multiple devices effortlessly. We use it to power several key home office items—a printer shredder computer charging docks and even a lamp—and everything runs smoothly. Now that I work from home my wife runs a business and our kids are in school keeping everything online and powered up is crucial. The eight outlets provide more than enough capacity without feeling cramped which is a big plus when managing multiple plugs in one area. One of my favorite features is the slim low-profile plug. It sits nearly flush with the wall which means I can push our desk and cabinets all the way back without worrying about damaging the cord or having the outlet stick out awkwardly. It gives the space a much cleaner more organized look which I really appreciate. The only thing it’s missing is built-in USB ports which would have made it even more convenient for charging phones and smaller devices directly. That said for anyone looking to power multiple home office electronics with protection and a tidy appearance this surge strip is a solid choice.

Good multi use power strip

I like the length of the cord and the fact that the outlets are different at the end so you can configure different types of plugs. Typical power strips just have two lines of outlets straight down each side making it difficult for different size plugs or you end up not being able to use all the plugs. That’s not as issue with this power strip. My husband has used this for his power tools that take batteries. Just like each one has its different batteries they have different plug ends but that’s no problem with this power strip and he was able to plug in everything. We also liked how the plug on the power strip was flat so I could easily go behind furniture or a tool bench.

Simple and solid Surge Protector Strip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surge protector strip is simple but solidly laid out with everything you need. For us it’s being used behind my desk for my monitor tower standing desk and eventually more devices! Plenty of outlet space for devices a back made to easily mount it and an easy access switch for when it IS mounted are thoughtful features. One complaint is the wall plug - it’s a bit large and makes it harder to plug something above it if that other wall plug runs big plus the plug angles to the right but for us that’s no big deal. If you wanted it to run to the left that might be annoying but it’s still totally possible just note it doesn’t swivel! Also note this is a LARGE strip so it wouldn’t fit in a desk tray but it can still be mounted and gives extra space for larger plugs - my standing desk and monitor have larger plugs and this thing handles that with zero problems and space to spare! Really appreciate the indicator lights to show whether or not it’s been tripped and also the solid feel it has too! All in all very happy with this surge strip and its quality thus far! Would have liked a darker color like black for it to blend with my desk better but it’s awesome in all the other important ways so it’s staying!
