Surge Protector Power Strip

I love being able to have multiple outlets in one area especially for my kids room- they have a light a nightlight an Alexa to play white noise at night and a fan. I also have taken it to use in my office for my printer my computer my vacuum my lamp and my Alexa. It’s been really really handy so far in my kids room and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a surge protector. I feel totally safe knowing that it is well-made and I have no doubt that if it was in my office I would have no worries about any of my electronics shutting off or being affected because of the outlet. I definitely recommend this love it and clearly I need to buy another couple of them for the other rooms in my house. Absolutely 10 out of 10!!! There’s no reason not to buy this! It’s fantastic !

Lots of Room to Plug Items In

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Tech 8-Outlet Surge Strip provides lots of room to plug devices in. I was able to plug in my phone charger breast pump tablet charger baby monitor charger and a table lamp at the same time without any issues. I love that the outlets are facing outwards rather than back to back like with a traditional power strip. This allows the ability to plug in oversized plugs without covering additional outlets leaving them open for other plugs. I also really liked that the plug is flat against the wall allowing the surge strip to be plugged in behind furniture without causing a gap. I was able to plug it in behind my couch with no problem. The two things I do not like about this surge strip are (1) the on/off switch is located on the side making it easy to hit by accident and (2) the power strip is much more bulky than a traditional power strip due to the outlets facing outwards rather than back to back. However the power strip has the ability to be mounted on the wall to take up less space if needed which is beneficial.

Versatile Power Strip That Covers All the Bases

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 8-outlet surge protector power strip is exactly what I expected and met all my needs both at home and in my classroom. One of the best features is how the outlets are oriented in different directions—this makes it so much easier to plug in all kinds of chargers and adapters without anything getting blocked. At home I’ve used it next to my child’s bed to power a monitor humidifier sound machine and air purifier. It handled all of these without any issues. I haven’t tried using it with anything that draws a lot of power like an A/C unit and probably won’t since those can overload a standard surge protector. In my classroom I’ve used it to plug in several microscopes around the room. Having 8 outlets gave me the flexibility to spread out the equipment which really helped with setup and made it easier for students to access. The 6-foot cord is a good length—long enough to reach tricky spots but not so long that it becomes a tripping hazard. I also really appreciate the 4 500-joule protection. It gives me peace of mind when plugging in sensitive equipment like computers and light microscopes. What I liked most is the rotated plug layout. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference. Overall this surge protector is a smart reliable option for both home and classroom use.

Standard surge protector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surge protector does the job. It’s a basic tool with a good length cord. The best things about it is it has a flat plug and the sockets are spaced out. So far I’ve been using it to charge iPads and iPhones and have had no issues. It doesn’t have any of the extra things like usb/usb-c ports but if you’re looking for a solid surge protector it fits the bill. I wish it had different orientation with the sockets (for instance the round hole on the outside edge on the left and on the inside edge on the right that way you could change the orientation of the plug or item you plugged in. But that’s not a deal breaker. It’s a good surge protector with a flat plug and widely spaced sockets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Staples Tech 8 Outlet Surge Strip with 4500 Joule protection and it has been a worthwhile addition to my home office. My overall impression is very positive. The white color works for my room and the strip itself feels sturdy and well built. The 6 foot cord is a good length to connect my outlet to my desk and it doesn't look bulky. I have been using this power strip mostly for my home office equipment which includes a desktop computer monitor printer desk lamp phone charger tablet charger. The 4500 joule protection makes me fairly certain I will be protected from any power surges. The eight outlets have been perfect for all my hookups. I really like that they're spaced well enough for larger plugs without blocking other outlets. I have about six devices connected and two spare outlets for other possible items. What I like most about this surge protector is the high joule protection 4500 seems to be quite a lot and the thoughtful outlet layout. The protection for my electronics and the ability to have all my devices centrally powered makes this a really useful tool and good value.

Convenient and safe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the design of the plug it is designed so that you can use the other wall outlet on the bottom of where its plugged in where most other power strips tend to have bulky plugs that make it impossible to use the bottom wall outlet at the same time. The outlets on the power strip are spaced out very conveniently so you can easily utilize all of them at once. I also love the peace of mind that my gaming computers are safe while using this power strip thanks to the surge protection it offers it even has a little light to confirm the surge protection is active. Another selling point is that all 8 outlets on the power strip are grounded it's super nice to have that extra security and the fact that I'm able to plug in things that have three prongs.

Versatile and HighCapacity Surge Protector

It’s well-built has excellent outlet spacing and feels like a solid upgrade from standard power strips. I used it to plug in a mix of large and small devices—including my MacBook Pro baby’s Mamaroo swing phone charger and a desk lamp. What stood out right away was that I didn’t have to “choose” which big charger to use—I could plug in multiple bulky adapters without losing space which is a rare feature! The 8 outlets provided more than enough room for everything I needed and the 6ft cord gave me flexibility to place it exactly where I wanted. The 4 500-joule protection also gave me peace of mind knowing my electronics are safe. What I liked most was how practical the design is—especially for a family or office setting where multiple high-powered devices are used at once. My only suggestion? I’d love to see it in a black or darker color to better hide dust and scuffs over time.
